Theme Music is now mandatory

As the staircase rises further up, the vines become more frequent, eventually sporting a few bulbs and flowers here and there, with the natural light glowing ever brighter. At the very top step, the claustrophobic walls immediately cease, and give way to a wondrous place: A veritable jungle in the top of the pyramid!

While the staircase is in a small clearing, most everything beyond a few meters is completely impossible to see through; all it is is brush and moss. The top of the pyramid (from the inside) is visible, and appears to be some kind of gigantic skylight, allowing the sun's rays to filter through to this natural setting. Scuttling through the brush, a heap of Bug Pokemon are visible from the get-go, but disappear as soon as they spot an intruder.

A thin path can be discerned from the stairs, but it is incredibly thin, only a few inches wide. Going through the path, one would still be cutting through most of the brush.

The shiny Woodo is knocked around, but doesn't show any sign of stopping as it continues flailing and chucking rocks at its attackers, this time at Inei! [result]20&20,1d20,0,20&1d20[/result] [result]31&1:6,2d6,24,31&2d6+24[/result]

The Remoraid senses the danger the explosion of rocks would pose to it's trainer, and flings itself at him, shoving Inei out of the path, taking the brunt of the assault itself. It is hailed by the mineral projectiles, but somehow withstands the assault.

Inei looks at the scene before him, and sighs. He pulls out the only Great Ball he has, just for these situations.

The Spinarak on Inei's back glares at the Sudowoodo intimidatingly, just to make sure it did the right choice. <Using Intimidate ability>

Tekikaku returns to it's Pokeball, not really in the mood for more, understandably.

The ball misses the Sudowoodo, landing in the grass behind it, and the tree responds by breaking a leg free and sweeping Inei's feet! [result]15&15,1d20,0,15&1d20[/result] [result]30&2:1:5,3d6,22,30&3d6+22[/result] Fighting Physical

Inei is barely standing, gritting his teeth, he grabs a Pokeball and punches the Sudowoodo with it, the button hopefully hitting the darn tree.

Inei gets lucky, and the Sudowoodo is taken into the ball... captured! (Level 12/Copy Master/48 HP/knows Pin Missile!)

The rest of the Sudowoodo can be heard flipping out deeper in the woods, but none seem close by.

Inei leans against a tree, drinks a Potion, and rests for a moment. He releases Horui the Crustle to stand guard while he catches a breather. After an hour or so, Inei rises again, vary and battered. He grabs his Great Ball and decides to return to camp, that was a bit too close for comfort.

Though blood seems to be covering his eyes, Inei makes it back to camp in no time. A lifetime of dangerous forest exploration must have assured that.

Barnaby stares blankly at the setting that greets him at the top of the stairwell. So many trees!!! There was no way Clopperton was going to make it through this dense thickness. This trek would have to be on foot.

He took a pokeball out from his pocket an released the occupant; a rather scrawny-looking Smeargle. The colonel immediately began the process of taping mushrooms to its head similar to the ones on his own. Best to maintain the camouflage.

"Well, you're the most experienced of us with this area. Where would be the best place to start our tracking?"

"Tracking?"

Stefan shakes his head.

"I never did anything that complex. I kinda just wander and keep my eyes peeled. That being said, I normally head in that direction," Stefan points the general way he's taken before, with Merchant. "So let's head the other way."

He sets off, without much explanation. He had a feeling his companion would talk enough for the two of them anyway.
