Theme Music is now mandatory

As the staircase rises further up, the vines become more frequent, eventually sporting a few bulbs and flowers here and there, with the natural light glowing ever brighter. At the very top step, the claustrophobic walls immediately cease, and give way to a wondrous place: A veritable jungle in the top of the pyramid!

While the staircase is in a small clearing, most everything beyond a few meters is completely impossible to see through; all it is is brush and moss. The top of the pyramid (from the inside) is visible, and appears to be some kind of gigantic skylight, allowing the sun's rays to filter through to this natural setting. Scuttling through the brush, a heap of Bug Pokemon are visible from the get-go, but disappear as soon as they spot an intruder.

A thin path can be discerned from the stairs, but it is incredibly thin, only a few inches wide. Going through the path, one would still be cutting through most of the brush.

Seeing the resolution of the war, he does the only right thing.

He first, carefully, maneuvers to the Crustle and rolls them off the unfortunate Paras. Once that is done Inei tries to find out the reason for the hostility. Was the area that good, or was there something to covet? He'd try to figure that out, what was the secret of the Anthills?

He'll then take a moment, before leaving, but after inspecting the fortifications, to capture a Paras with his Hand Net. [result]4&4,1d20,0,4&1d20[/result].

Unfortunately, there is no hope for this entire battleground. The anthills are demolished, but reaching into the mess nets Inei a Tiny Mushroom and a Big Mushroom. One inert Paras is also scooped into the Hand net.

Touching a Pokeball to it, his last, Inei hopes that it will remain inside.

Inei packages the two finds, and then leaves the battlefield, to return to the surface. He was out of Pokeballs, more than half his team needed healing, and he had a few things to report and show.

The Paras, beaten and bloodied, doesn't trigger the ball. It does remain in the net, however.

Inei easily finds his way back to the staircase down...

Climbing back into the entrance hall, he contemplates if Paras were edible. Wasn't there a cooking tent in the base? Might be worth a look.

Back at the wooded area, Inei decided to cover some ground. Orienting himself shortly, he then releases Tsumugu, the recently caught Spinarak, and holds the bug in his hands.

"Alright Tsumugu, that is your name by the way, you and me will be a great team starting now. You sit on my back, and I'll walk. You'll be my eyes above and behind, and I cover in front and on the ground. So here you go."

Inei placed the bug on his back, thus secured, he then starts walking somewhat the same direction as before, but a bit to the side of it.

The duo of Pokemon and human both don't see much, but Inei doesn't get lost that easily. The survivorman quickly makes his way through the brush, and finds himself in a large clearing with a bunch of small baby oak trees in it. All are a dark brown color, save for one in the center, which is an ugly lime color.

Next to the brush he emerged from, Inei sees a beautiful wrapped present dangling from an eye-level branch.

Suspicious as he is, Inei inspects the area first. Looking at the floor around that tree, from which the present is dangling, he he moves up the trunk and along that branch.

If the present clears as "IT'S NOT A TRAP" he will take it off it's branch and move behind a tree before opening the Present. Was it that time of the year already? How time passes when you are not careful...

The present is clearly not a trap! Inei opens the present slowly, and inside is... a Poke Ball with a yellow note!

Swarm? Bug Man? Saint Arceus? This was sure being weird...releasing the Pokeball, a truly DIMINUTIVE pokemon revealed itself. A Joltik, though it looked profusely different from the other Joltiks that Inei had seen so far, it's fur was red, and it's four eyes and claws were a bright snow-white. It was a bit eerie to look at, but Inei didn't bother much with it too long, he figured he'd get used to it. Right now the Joltik proceeded to nibble at his thumb, he had released the Pokemon onto his hand.

You....I'll name you Boyaketa. And you shall hold watch on my shoulder, along with Tsumugu, say hi and be nice."

Thus acquaintance, The Spinarak had lifted one of it's feelers in greeting as Boyaketa settled into place, Inei heads towards the odd tree, keeping a vary eye for the surrounding area, ground and the other trees alike.
