Theme Music is now mandatory

As the staircase rises further up, the vines become more frequent, eventually sporting a few bulbs and flowers here and there, with the natural light glowing ever brighter. At the very top step, the claustrophobic walls immediately cease, and give way to a wondrous place: A veritable jungle in the top of the pyramid!

While the staircase is in a small clearing, most everything beyond a few meters is completely impossible to see through; all it is is brush and moss. The top of the pyramid (from the inside) is visible, and appears to be some kind of gigantic skylight, allowing the sun's rays to filter through to this natural setting. Scuttling through the brush, a heap of Bug Pokemon are visible from the get-go, but disappear as soon as they spot an intruder.

A thin path can be discerned from the stairs, but it is incredibly thin, only a few inches wide. Going through the path, one would still be cutting through most of the brush.

Merciful as Inei is, he tries to ball the Pokemon too. Stasis should keep the pain away for a bit. Picking up the missed Pokeball, he touches it to the barely conscious Spider.

The ball hits the bark. Missing at point blank is embarrassing.

The Spinarak continues to bleed out.

Inei facepalms , glad that he was alone here, besides the Pokemon. It shows that he spent more time kicking things, rather than catching Pokemon. He tries anew.

Inei throws the ball a little too hard... it rebounds and smacks him in the junk for [result]3&3,1d3,0,3&1d3[/result] damage.

A little startle, it's all, which escapes Inei, he had toughened up on the mountain, having to sleep on trees, slipping and falling various times, and of course surviving Army Rangers training and boot camp. You stop caring, really.

At least the Pokeball is alright. This time he tries again. As so often.

At this point, can we just say I caught it, since it isn't in the mood of running off, and Inei's got all the time in the world...

Many, many attempts later, Inei finally gets the sense to stop throwing the ball, and just tap the poor spider with the end of it. (10/Quirky/4 HP/2 Injuries)

Once again it shows that the focus of training was on stealth and combat, not the encapsulation of Pokemon. He had only been given rudimentary instructions on the matter, a few informative videos, each depicting the method of capture a thrown Poke Ball. Regardless, Inei once more put his attention into the surrounding area, he may even be able to find a few berries if he was vigilant in his perception, and sets out deeper into the chamber.

Inei carves a swath through the brush quickly and quietly, and with the help of Yari, he comes upon the most interesting point of the forest: a giant bulb, in vain of a Venusaur, expelling spores upward, with a marble column stuck inside. Nifty!
