Theme Music is now mandatory As the staircase rises further up, the vines become more frequent, eventually sporting a few bulbs and flowers here and there, with the natural light glowing ever brighter. At the very top step, the claustrophobic walls immediately cease, and give way to a wondrous place: A veritable jungle in the top of the pyramid! While the staircase is in a small clearing, most everything beyond a few meters is completely impossible to see through; all it is is brush and moss. The top of the pyramid (from the inside) is visible, and appears to be some kind of gigantic skylight, allowing the sun's rays to filter through to this natural setting. Scuttling through the brush, a heap of Bug Pokemon are visible from the get-go, but disappear as soon as they spot an intruder. A thin path can be discerned from the stairs, but it is incredibly thin, only a few inches wide. Going through the path, one would still be cutting through most of the brush. Merchant ducks, not even bothering to acknowledge the spider before running along, continuing to his target. |

The Spinarak lands in a heap behind Merchant, who walks off into the brush. Having the route committed to memory by now, Merchant easily finds his way to the colossal bulb. It spews, spews hard. |

Merchant pulls out a number of sharp medical tools as well as the bait he has left. He lets it marinate in the stun spores before approaching the huge bulb. Carefully readying the scalpel, he goes about taking a tissue sample... |

A quick sample of the bulb's flesh is garnered! It's all gross, with spores on outer side and some kind of mucous on the inner side. That thing needs a plastic bag. A big, ugly scar is left on the bulb from this process. It oozes in a positively disgusting way. |

Merchant stores away the gross tissue sample in who-knows-where before promptly turning around and leaving. No point staying here, and he was eager to put his new bait to use. He leaves to go to the Water chamber. |
