Theme Music is now mandatory As the staircase rises further up, the vines become more frequent, eventually sporting a few bulbs and flowers here and there, with the natural light glowing ever brighter. At the very top step, the claustrophobic walls immediately cease, and give way to a wondrous place: A veritable jungle in the top of the pyramid! While the staircase is in a small clearing, most everything beyond a few meters is completely impossible to see through; all it is is brush and moss. The top of the pyramid (from the inside) is visible, and appears to be some kind of gigantic skylight, allowing the sun's rays to filter through to this natural setting. Scuttling through the brush, a heap of Bug Pokemon are visible from the get-go, but disappear as soon as they spot an intruder. A thin path can be discerned from the stairs, but it is incredibly thin, only a few inches wide. Going through the path, one would still be cutting through most of the brush. Stefan curses as another ball goes sailing into the smoke. He was in no danger from the slowly weakening parasect, but his chance to capture them was slipping away. He throws his dusk ball, taking careful aim. After about half an hour, Jason dives back under the water to swim to the other side, calling out Sugar Ray before getting to where the two Boldore were more than likely waiting. |

The last good toss into the smoke finally nets Stefan a brown Parasect! Brownsect Unfortunately, the victory is not well followed as Krieger misses the second Parasect, who begins to retreat. It starts burrowing down at the back of the pit... The two Boldore loom over the edge of the water, right where Jason left them. They stare him down with their weird sound eye things. Looking up at the Boldore, Jason moved towards the platform where they were waiting for him before leaping out at Boldore B with a series of kicks. Sugar Ray felt a little more at home in the water and began to spin rapidly. A whirlpool began to form under Boldore C. Stefan notes the location of the ball and chucks another before ordering Krieger to give chase. With any luck, he could polish off the parasect before it escaped. Stefan throws a great ball. Jason's Dynamic Entry technique fails terribly, as both he and Sugar Ray whiff their attacks. The Boldore are not impressed, and follow up with a Headbutt and Razor Shell! Boldore B Razor Shell on Jason: [result]16&16,1d20,0,16&1d20[/result] [result]33&4:4,2d6,25,33&2d6+25[/result] Boldore C Headbutt on Sugar Ray: [result]12&12,1d20,0,12&1d20[/result] [result]30&4:1,2d6,25,30&2d6+25[/result] Stefan's toss is fair, and the ball locks... but opens up at the last second, just to be hit by Metal Claw. The Parasect takes the hit in stride, and keeps burrowing... it leaves a wide tunnel for pursuit, big enough for Krieger, but it doesn't look like it's planning on coming back. |

Stefan attempts to chase after the slowly-dying creature, wriggling into the hole with his flashlight in one hand and a great ball in the other, both arms in front of him. "Krieger, if I start screaming, pull me out please." Athletics [result]6&1:3,2d6,2,6&2d6+2[/result] |

The Boldore is hit by the quick jab, but not fazed. Trying a different strategy, one backs away from Jason and fires a volley of rocks, while the other Boldore slaps some mud at Sugar Ray in an effort to get it to do something. Boldore B Rock Blast on Jason: [result]16&16,1d20,0,16&1d20[/result] [result]6&6,1d8,0,6&1d8[/result] Rock Physical Boldore C Mud-Slap on Sugar Ray: [result]13&13,1d20,0,13&1d20[/result] [result]10&4,1d6,6,10&1d6+6[/result] Ground Special Stefan crawls as far as he can in the tiny hole... which isn't very far, as he gets wedged almost immediately. The Parasect carves a corner, and is quickly gone. Combat End
