Theme Music is now mandatory As the staircase rises further up, the vines become more frequent, eventually sporting a few bulbs and flowers here and there, with the natural light glowing ever brighter. At the very top step, the claustrophobic walls immediately cease, and give way to a wondrous place: A veritable jungle in the top of the pyramid! While the staircase is in a small clearing, most everything beyond a few meters is completely impossible to see through; all it is is brush and moss. The top of the pyramid (from the inside) is visible, and appears to be some kind of gigantic skylight, allowing the sun's rays to filter through to this natural setting. Scuttling through the brush, a heap of Bug Pokemon are visible from the get-go, but disappear as soon as they spot an intruder. A thin path can be discerned from the stairs, but it is incredibly thin, only a few inches wide. Going through the path, one would still be cutting through most of the brush. "I think I may." Krieger couldn't make that climb, and he didn't trust most of the rest of his team, but there was still an option, a pokemon from the greenhouse would be resistant to the spores. . . . Stefan releases Donner and commands him to fetch the object at the top of the pillar, hoping the defeated creature would be nimble enough to able and obedient enough to obey. The shifted Pikachu ascends nearly all the way up the pillar, but its progress is impeded by the square lip adorning the top of the pillar, No matter how far it stretches, it seems unable to figure out how to to get past the lip... |

Merchant opens a pokeball, and a large rock with arms appears in midair. It immediately starts coughing from all the fumes and spores. Oddly enough, it seems to even somewhat enjoy it... "Ok Rock. Be stepping stone for Mouse." The Geodude sloooowly floats over, with a dazed look on its face, and floats a little out from the chu, hands open to give it a boost. |

Stefan nods, but wonders why the rock wasn't simply used to float up to the statute. He commands the mouse to accept the boost up and then hop back on with the statue for a ride down.

One slow trip down later, the statue is in Stefan's hands, and Rock is looking a little pale (for a rock). |

Stefan examines the statue briefly before handing it over to Merchant. He's not at all sure of its wealth. "What do you think?" |

Merchant analyzes the gold figure closely, lightly touching and turning the item. [result]14&5:4,2d6,5,14&2d6+5[/result] Petrology "Hmm, Merchant might have an idea, but Merchant will definitely get an appraisal. A good bit, methinks." Rock lays on the ground, letting the daze of the fumes wash over it. |

"So what now? So far we've uncovered wealth but no history on exactly what this place is. . . Or what's slumbering around here." |

"Merchant is not sure he wants to uncover what is slumbering. History, he will leave to the researchers. Merchant believes we may need to move deeper into the Pyramid to find more direct information on who was once here. For now, perhaps we should go back and report our finds." |

"Deeper?" An eyebrow arches at that. Three days of exploring and we still haven't found any other ways to go. Only to the other areas. Still, he's the brains, and his instinct hasn't killed you yet. He ponders it all for a minute. "You're probably right. On all counts. If it is something too dangerous, I definitely don't want to rouse it without backup. " Turning on his heel, he starts to retrace their steps, keeping his eye open for Pokemon or new paths. "I guess no Pokemon is worth your life, no matter how incredibly unique and valuable it is."
