Theme Music is now mandatory As the staircase rises further up, the vines become more frequent, eventually sporting a few bulbs and flowers here and there, with the natural light glowing ever brighter. At the very top step, the claustrophobic walls immediately cease, and give way to a wondrous place: A veritable jungle in the top of the pyramid! While the staircase is in a small clearing, most everything beyond a few meters is completely impossible to see through; all it is is brush and moss. The top of the pyramid (from the inside) is visible, and appears to be some kind of gigantic skylight, allowing the sun's rays to filter through to this natural setting. Scuttling through the brush, a heap of Bug Pokemon are visible from the get-go, but disappear as soon as they spot an intruder. A thin path can be discerned from the stairs, but it is incredibly thin, only a few inches wide. Going through the path, one would still be cutting through most of the brush. Merchant checks his mask firmly. Satsfied with it, he opens up a pokeball, causing a small green bulbous creature to pop out. The Chikorita seems to enjoy the scenery, and doesn't seem to pay any attention to the spores at all. Merchant comes in close to investigate the area. [result]17&1:5:6,3d6,5,17&3d6+5[/result] |

The area is the same as it was last time... a collection of thick overgrowth hangs down from where the spores are contacting the roof, no Pokemon are about, and the clearing is clear as can be. The bulb itself towers over Merchant... its texture is ancient and decaying. It must have been spewing spores for ages... |

Chikorita seems to soak up the spores as they touch it, and it prances around happily. Merchant considers the rope, but something like this he would avoid damaging as much as possible. Instead, he simply grabs on with his hands and attempts to climb up to the top to see the pillar directly. [result]10&6:2,2d6,2,10&2d6+2[/result] Athletics. |

Merchant climbs like a squirrel to the top of the bulb. The heft of spores, though blocked by the gas mask, does still cause quite a draft as it hits him. From where the spores emerge is still obscured by the spores themselves, but the stone pillar rising out of the bulb itself is much more detailed close-up; carvings of Bulbasaur, Sunflora, Treecko, and other well-known Grass-types adorn the sides of the cylindrical pillar in carving form. |

Stefan calls up from the bottom of the bulb, his voice somewhat muffled by the mask. "Well? What do you make of it?" |

"Merchant hopes not. Merchant has not seen signs that it is a pokemon. If it is, Merchant would like it to stay sleeping." Merchant pulls out a pokeball and opens it up, the firey woobat appearing in front of him, sneezing at the spores that cover it. "Quickly, go see if something is on top of pillar." The woobat slowly flies up, the spores weighing it down. |

The Woobat dozily flies upward, to the top of the pillar... on the top, the bat finds a fantastic gold-plated lotus flower statue!! |
