Theme Music is now mandatory

As the staircase rises further up, the vines become more frequent, eventually sporting a few bulbs and flowers here and there, with the natural light glowing ever brighter. At the very top step, the claustrophobic walls immediately cease, and give way to a wondrous place: A veritable jungle in the top of the pyramid!

While the staircase is in a small clearing, most everything beyond a few meters is completely impossible to see through; all it is is brush and moss. The top of the pyramid (from the inside) is visible, and appears to be some kind of gigantic skylight, allowing the sun's rays to filter through to this natural setting. Scuttling through the brush, a heap of Bug Pokemon are visible from the get-go, but disappear as soon as they spot an intruder.

A thin path can be discerned from the stairs, but it is incredibly thin, only a few inches wide. Going through the path, one would still be cutting through most of the brush.

His eyes scan once more, watching the Paras.

All Jason spots is the horde, though they seem fewer in number. The loose dirt crunches under his feet as he walks forward...

There was something at least...maybe. Jason began to walk towards where the horde had come from, Angel by his side and the two of them keeping their eyes peeled for anything exciting.

Jason attempts to discern what happened to this horde to cause it to shrink, but is taken aback once he spots something... his biceps. He begins flexing for himself.

"These are definitely the best biceps. But they can become stronger....wait..."

There was a reason he came here, and that wasn't to admire himself, though it wasn't a bad way to pass the time. Hell, if things kept going as slow as they were, he'd have plenty of time to do such. But no...there had to be something worthwhile to fight up here and he wasn't going to give up without finding it.

Zoning out a bit, Jason looks around the whole place, briefly eyeing the Paras horde once more... just long enough for one to disappear into a hole in the ground. What?

Looking around his feet, he notes two more holes of the same size... one for each Paras gone from the horde. Something is snatching the Paras as they walk across the soil!

So this was strange...but how was he going to get this vile fiend to the surface? "How about you come up to the surface and show your face. Ready yourself Angel."

His goal was to keep an eye on the Paras, waiting for one to begin to disappear into the ground and pulling it back to the surface, hoping to be able to pull whatever it was to the surface.

Jason follows along the Paras, who appear pretty nonchalant about being dragged underground. Fortune is in his favor, and he grabs a pair of pincers from the underground as it attempts to snatch a Paras! He even plucks the beast from the ground with gusto... and it appears to be a Nincada! The bug squeals with fear, and Hardens itself.

Well, this wasn't quite what he was looking for but with the hardening of the bug, he knew that this was going to provide at least a little bit of a challenge...maybe worthy to be his companion after all was said and done.

Jason first cracked his knuckles before moving in and smashing it with his fist. Rock Smash [result]6&6,1d20,0,6&1d20[/result] [result]24&8,1d8,16,24&1d8+16[/result] Fighting Physical

Meanwhile Angel focused on the Nincada, gathering everything about his target. Foresight.

The bug wiggles around so violently, Jason actually misses with his punch! Angel takes in the bug's violent trashing.

The Nincada wiggles closer to Jason's arm, attempting to Scratch it! [result]14&14,1d20,0,14&1d20[/result]
