Theme Music is now mandatory

As the staircase rises further up, the vines become more frequent, eventually sporting a few bulbs and flowers here and there, with the natural light glowing ever brighter. At the very top step, the claustrophobic walls immediately cease, and give way to a wondrous place: A veritable jungle in the top of the pyramid!

While the staircase is in a small clearing, most everything beyond a few meters is completely impossible to see through; all it is is brush and moss. The top of the pyramid (from the inside) is visible, and appears to be some kind of gigantic skylight, allowing the sun's rays to filter through to this natural setting. Scuttling through the brush, a heap of Bug Pokemon are visible from the get-go, but disappear as soon as they spot an intruder.

A thin path can be discerned from the stairs, but it is incredibly thin, only a few inches wide. Going through the path, one would still be cutting through most of the brush.

John winces at the devastation of the attack, before tossing the pokeball at one of the lead Paras.

Jones' grief causes him to miss, with the ball sailing over the Paras into the brush. The other four Paras are ready to retaliate, with two blasting at Inferno and two scurrying at Jones!

Inferno shudders as the poison soaks into its body, though the other volley of spores misses him. Jones tries to skip back from the attacks, managing to get out from the wave of yellow, even as the other Paras tags him in the shin. He reaches into his pocket, pulling out another pokeball. "Another Ember, quick!" As the Gastly spits out another wad of flame, Jones attempts to tag the mon that got him with the pokeball he'd pulled out.

Another Paras explodes in a fireball, and Paras that scratched Jones is caught off-guard with the ball. (11/Proud/Dry Skin/Full HP)

The remaining two Paras, sensing disadvantage, go straight for Jones!

Inferno shudders as the poison works through its system, even as Jones manages to deftly avoid another rain of spores, this time purple. But once again his dodging takes him into the path of a physical attack! Jones is now limping from the wound he's received! Even so, he manages to pull out another pokeball in the confusion. "Gah! Alrght, let's wrap this up! Ember that one Inferno, I'm going to see about making this a matched set!" The Gastly hocks up a flaming loogie, as Jones attempts to trap the last of the Paras.

Jones immediately pulls out a Full Heal, and sprays down Inferno before the poison can get to him much more. "Great job buddy, you handled that perfectly. Here, have a treat." He'll offer Inferno one of the white treats from the bag-o-treats, even as he pulls a bottle of Enriched Water out and gulps it down.

Inferno is no longer Poisoned.
Jones gains back 20 HP.

Stuffing the two Paras-occupied balls into his pack, Jones will recall Inferno once he's finished his treat, and then begin to look for hte pokeball that bounced into the underbrush.

Inferno seems to take a begrudging liking to the white treat... perhaps the dead like the taste of salt.

The ball is easily spotted and scooped up.

Jones pockets the ball, and then will approach the large stump and investigate it to see if it's hollow or there's something around its roots.

To his surprise, the stump easily lifts out of its place in the ground. Ancient roots don't seem to be very strong.

Under this stump, there appears to be... a tiny stone plate.
