Theme Music is now mandatory

As the staircase rises further up, the vines become more frequent, eventually sporting a few bulbs and flowers here and there, with the natural light glowing ever brighter. At the very top step, the claustrophobic walls immediately cease, and give way to a wondrous place: A veritable jungle in the top of the pyramid!

While the staircase is in a small clearing, most everything beyond a few meters is completely impossible to see through; all it is is brush and moss. The top of the pyramid (from the inside) is visible, and appears to be some kind of gigantic skylight, allowing the sun's rays to filter through to this natural setting. Scuttling through the brush, a heap of Bug Pokemon are visible from the get-go, but disappear as soon as they spot an intruder.

A thin path can be discerned from the stairs, but it is incredibly thin, only a few inches wide. Going through the path, one would still be cutting through most of the brush.

Jones wanders about the small space surrounding the stairs, looking for an answer... when he spies a Paras. The mushrooms on its back are glowing faint purple and green... a natural adaption to the environment?

"Intriging. And with the glow being as widespread as it is, the spores from those mushrooms are probably all over this place. I need to catch one for a sample..." He releases Digger. "Set up an Arena Trap and then close in for a Faint Attack!"

The Paras takes the hit in stride, but the ball sails past the bug. It's flinched, though, unable to act!

The Bite is dead-on, and Jones grabs the ball... but not in time. The Paras falls over, knocked out. (7 EXP)

He sighs and pockets the ball. "Well, good job anyway Digger." He recalls the Trapinch, and studies the Paras for a moment, seeing if perhaps he could at least take a mushroom sample. He also keeps a wary eye out for anything that may have been attracted by the sounds of the fight.
