Theme Music is now mandatory As the staircase rises further up, the vines become more frequent, eventually sporting a few bulbs and flowers here and there, with the natural light glowing ever brighter. At the very top step, the claustrophobic walls immediately cease, and give way to a wondrous place: A veritable jungle in the top of the pyramid! While the staircase is in a small clearing, most everything beyond a few meters is completely impossible to see through; all it is is brush and moss. The top of the pyramid (from the inside) is visible, and appears to be some kind of gigantic skylight, allowing the sun's rays to filter through to this natural setting. Scuttling through the brush, a heap of Bug Pokemon are visible from the get-go, but disappear as soon as they spot an intruder. A thin path can be discerned from the stairs, but it is incredibly thin, only a few inches wide. Going through the path, one would still be cutting through most of the brush. Stefan is hesitant to give chase. "An Ivysaur, perhaps. But I don't know of any that big. I think its a plant, rather than a pokemon." He hefts a pokeball and calls out Keese as he studies the plant, a plan forming. Pokemon Education: [result]11&4:4:3,3d6,0,11&3d6[/result] |

The toxins wafting from the top seem eerily similar to a prolonged Stun Spore attack... exposure might not be the way to go. Otherwise, it just seems like an overgrown Ivysaur bulb. |

"The mice are scared. Merchant believes a detour is in order, at least without right tools." The gas makes him nervous, poisonous plants were something he was at least used to. |

Stefan nods. "They're stun spores. We could probably burn the plant, but it would be better if we could be immune to it. Any of your pokemon immune to paralysis? Otherwise, lead the way." A thought occurs to him. "Are we sure the mice were running from us?" |

"No. Unsure why they run, but we must go as well. Nothing immune to paralysis either." Merchant begins to make his way around the giant bulb, making sure to watch his step. He occasionally glances the direction opposite of where the Pikachu are running, just in case. |

The spores don't seem to be wafting down, so Merchant is safe. It's still much taller and wider than him... hell, he could probably fit inside the thing if he wanted to. Nothing seems to be in pursuit of the Pikachu... |

Stefan crouches low, giving the spores a wide berth. He considers how much longer they can remain out in the wilderness. Stealth:[result]8&1:5,2d6,2,8&2d6+2[/result] Survival:[result]8&3:3,2d6,2,8&2d6+2[/result] |

Merchant is indeed stealthy, and Stefan is quiet enough as to not spook the horde. They steady on the trail, Merchant leading the charge... the location of the monolith bulb noted in his memory. Eventually, the group comes upon a clearing around a spiral staircase downward smack in the center. It's a small open space, barely big enough for the Pikachu... only a meter on each side, and three Pikachu are already occupying it... everyone would have trouble fitting in; only one person could fit in with the Pikachu, it seems. Stefan and Merchant are currently sitting in the brush, adjacent to the open space. Edited by BatiroAtrain, Sep 3 2013, 09:23 PM.
