Theme Music is now mandatory The hole Jason carved with his fist forms a perfectly circular entryway into a deeper galley of the pyramid... Oddly enough, a staircase descends into the room at the exact level of the Claydol carving's face. Those who step through are greeted with a monstrous chamber more regal than one would expect from an ancient civilization; gold and silver glyphs decorate the stone floor molding, and beautiful lanterns seem to replace the primitive torches from before. The room is essentially a trapezoid, with the ceiling a tad smaller than the floor. There are three large entryways into rooms of varying colors. To the left, there is a large metal archway with red runes painted on it. It seems a bit melted around the edges. To the right, two marble pillars surround an entryway with blue reflections adorning the ceiling, sparkling like an ocean. In the back of the room, there appears to be an entryway up as well. A spiral staircase seems to ascend into the entryway, which drips with vines and seemingly natural light. In the center of the room is a small hole, an entrance that looks like a sewer pipe. It has a ladder down bolted to the back. ((This is essentially a hub room, so feel free to split off to whichever way suits your fancy!)) Edited by BatiroAtrain, Mar 21 2014, 11:38 PM.

Stepping into the large foyer, Jason looked around for a moment. Finally a bit of room after getting through the stair case. His eyes went from one area to the next, wondering which way he was going to go and noticed the stairway at the end. That was it...natural light...could be a great meditation area. He went straight forward, beginning to ascend the stairway and taking in a deep breath while keeping his bearings around him. Perception. Merchant wanders in, and his eyes sparkle at the prospects. Or they would, if they weren't hidden by goggles. "Merchant believes this was a good investment." Scanning the room for both traps and valuables, letting his keen eyes go to town. Jason ascends the staircase carefully... ((New topic soon)) The light is bolted down, but Merchant tugs the lantern with all his might, and snaps the thing clean off the wall! One down, eleven left. The lantern resembles an old paper one, and is lit with some kind of mineral similar in nature to a Fire Stone, though not exactly one. It might be worth a pretty penny back at the camp. Otherwise, the room appears devoid of valuables and hindrances. Edited by BatiroAtrain, Aug 28 2013, 08:36 PM.

Hidden beneath the robes and gear, Merchant grins maniacally. He pockets the stone, fully intending to perhaps take more later. Catsby stares him down, clearly wanting one himself, but merchant flicks it away. Merchant approaches his 'bodyguard'. "Melted arch, yes? Should be good training and good money." |

Oz's floating head is all smiles as he enters the large chamber. He never truly doubted his employers, but now he's sure that this is no milk run. "Incredible... I know it's more responsible to stick together, but something tells me I'd be a fool to ignore those marble pillars. Maybe I'm just a sucker for majesty." Using all due caution, Oz walks through the pillars, peering at the reflections above. Mechanics

Jones follows after, and begins to try and decipher the glyphs and runes. He winces heavily when he hears the "crack" of one of the stone lanterns being ripped free; but keeps his mouth shut. He's not in charge here after all. He releases Digger again though. "I'd like to caution about splitting up, but you're all grown adults. Just be careful, and please for the love of Arcues, try not to tear the whole place apart." He gives Merchant a pointed look. Stefan follows the rest through and makes a note of the fact that Merchant took a lantern when he has a flashlight. The mysterious man had to have a nose for profit, especially given how long he's been around. On the way out, he would grab one or two. "Training and money, absolutely. Let's go." Stefan accompanies Merchant through the arch, trying to ignore the ominous look of melted steel. Edited by Ursus the Grim, Aug 29 2013, 08:42 AM.

Merchant, Jones, and Stefan proceed through the melted archway, a little sweaty under their collars... ((New topic!)) Oz is encompassed, very sneakily, by the majesty of the marble passage. No signs of traps yet, but one can never be too careful in these kinds of situations... ((Another new topic!)) Petroloccult
