The behemoth pyramid stretches nearly fifty meters tall, with a long set of stairs climbing up the south side. From a distance, one can spy a good deal of light glistening in the stone hallway leading to the antechamber of the pyramid. Within minutes of setting foot on the clay stones that form the ground, the chattering of researches and gloating of treasure hunters fills any daring adventurer's ears.

The antechamber itself is stocked full of tents and lanterns, as well as the people who brought them. A research team of 50 people has decided to set up a base camp right in the mouth of the Clay Pyramid; close enough to tell the light of day, yet far enough into the stonework to feel overwhelmed by the tall tunnel they call home. A number of archaeologists have been painstakingly examining the Pokemon carvings that adorn the walls of the antechamber, while some of the laborers are taking an early break from clearing out the space for living. Lanterns are placed evenly around the chamber, and generators for laptops and machines are scattered about less frequently. From the wall opposite of the entrance, a massive set of stone double doors nearly 10 meters tall casts an ominous gaze on the whole party of researchers.

In the center of the base camp, a sign has been affixed to the ground, reading: "Explorers Needed! See Inside", pointing a large tent to the left. Rife, hearty laughter can be heard from inside.

Merchant and Stefan are a Numel richer, but Jason's ball seems to bounce off without activating.

Stefan tosses the ball into his backpack. One more for sale or trade. He approaches Jason.

"The last I saw you, you were flotsam and a baltoy vanished your body. What happened?"

"Merchant is going to go catch a Geodude."
He heads to the opening hallways.

"Ok Cat, don't kill this one."

Jones hands over the Pyen without complaint. "As always, a pleasure doing business with you. Now, I really should see about getting those bandages..." With that, Jones heads for the supply tent, where he'll purchase three rolls of bandages, two Antidotes, and two Enriched Waters. Afterwards he'll sit down, and begin patching himself up from the injuries he received from the Paras and Sunflora.

As the ball bounced off, Jason sighed before hearing Stefan. "I don't even know myself. I was fighting this Tentacruel and the next thing I knew...I was in the Foyer."

Merchant heads into the entrance chamber, and finds himself some Geodude nestled about. Three of them, in fact. They eye him up and down, recognizing him as the creepy guy with all the Poke Balls, and begin cracking their knuckles threateningly.

Stefan listens intently as Merchant wanders off.

"Huh. Wouldn't be much help against one of those, I'm afraid. But if you want some help toughening up your team, come see me tomorrow morning and we can train together."

With that, he waves farewell, grabs a mask and runs after the merchant.

Jason wasn't usually one to look for outside help, but after what happened...it seemed like a good idea.

"I might take you up on that."

He then walked up to pick up the pokeball next to the Numel, staring at it for a moment and bouncing the ball in his hand before throwing it back at it.

Jason pocketed the pokeball and sighed slowly, looking up towards the sky. He then headed back to his tent sitting on the edge of the cot.
