The behemoth pyramid stretches nearly fifty meters tall, with a long set of stairs climbing up the south side. From a distance, one can spy a good deal of light glistening in the stone hallway leading to the antechamber of the pyramid. Within minutes of setting foot on the clay stones that form the ground, the chattering of researches and gloating of treasure hunters fills any daring adventurer's ears.

The antechamber itself is stocked full of tents and lanterns, as well as the people who brought them. A research team of 50 people has decided to set up a base camp right in the mouth of the Clay Pyramid; close enough to tell the light of day, yet far enough into the stonework to feel overwhelmed by the tall tunnel they call home. A number of archaeologists have been painstakingly examining the Pokemon carvings that adorn the walls of the antechamber, while some of the laborers are taking an early break from clearing out the space for living. Lanterns are placed evenly around the chamber, and generators for laptops and machines are scattered about less frequently. From the wall opposite of the entrance, a massive set of stone double doors nearly 10 meters tall casts an ominous gaze on the whole party of researchers.

In the center of the base camp, a sign has been affixed to the ground, reading: "Explorers Needed! See Inside", pointing a large tent to the left. Rife, hearty laughter can be heard from inside.

All seven of the Numel happen upon Jones, and are on him in an instant. They seem overjoyed that their patriarch has returned!

Foe's head pops out of the tent. "Something better than a pack of fiery dumbasses?"

Jones gently scratches the Numel on their heads before turning his attention to Fir and pulling out one of the pokeballs with a Paras in it. "Got a live specimen of one of those Paras that was glowing. As well as these." He pulls out the pokeball the Sunflora is in, as well as the Bug Plate. "A gigantic white Sunflora that seems to have some strange abilities, and freaking petals as big as my head, and this." He holds out the plate so that Fir can see the inscription on the back. "You may want to make the others aware that taking out too many of the insect pokemon in the greenhouse may wake something big up. I'd like to hang onto the Sunflora after your team examines it, but you can keep the Paras, I've got another one. And you can keep the plate too."

Jason walked back in from the Foyer, obviously more worse for wear. He made his way to his tent, not wanting to deal with anything and falling onto his cot, passing out for a while.

Fir takes the Paras, the Sunflora, and the plate, handing over 2000 Pyen for the lot. "Well, since it's written on here... don't blow up the chamber."

Jones nods, chuckling ruefully. "A word of warning, that Sunflora is still kind of wounded from the capture, and probably still kind of pissed off. Sucker put up one hell of a fight." He pauses. "Oh, a question for you. Do you know of any type of equipment that can be used to explore hot-water springs? I found one in the slag ruins that has steps leading down into it about two meters under the surface, but I sort of had an audience at that point, and didn't want to risk them getting hurt on my account trying to follow near the water, so I wasn't able to examine it any closer."

"I suppose we could send out for some heat-resistant dive suits. I'll let the caravan know."

Jones smiles. "Excellent. I need to go get some bandages and a few other things from the supply tent. I look forward to finding out what's what about my new acquisition tomorrow." With that, Jones heads for the supply tent as stated.

Merchant enters into the Antechamber with Stephen and notices...numel. Numel everywhere.

Puzzled, he heads to Fir's to find out what the deal was with them.

Jones stumbles past the duo as he heads towards the supply tent. "Ah, Merchant. I have a pokeball that needs repaired. I'll drop by after I get some bandages to patch myself up. Oh, I have some news that you both might want to hear too about the greenhouse."
