The behemoth pyramid stretches nearly fifty meters tall, with a long set of stairs climbing up the south side. From a distance, one can spy a good deal of light glistening in the stone hallway leading to the antechamber of the pyramid. Within minutes of setting foot on the clay stones that form the ground, the chattering of researches and gloating of treasure hunters fills any daring adventurer's ears.

The antechamber itself is stocked full of tents and lanterns, as well as the people who brought them. A research team of 50 people has decided to set up a base camp right in the mouth of the Clay Pyramid; close enough to tell the light of day, yet far enough into the stonework to feel overwhelmed by the tall tunnel they call home. A number of archaeologists have been painstakingly examining the Pokemon carvings that adorn the walls of the antechamber, while some of the laborers are taking an early break from clearing out the space for living. Lanterns are placed evenly around the chamber, and generators for laptops and machines are scattered about less frequently. From the wall opposite of the entrance, a massive set of stone double doors nearly 10 meters tall casts an ominous gaze on the whole party of researchers.

In the center of the base camp, a sign has been affixed to the ground, reading: "Explorers Needed! See Inside", pointing a large tent to the left. Rife, hearty laughter can be heard from inside.

Jones will move away from the others and release Inferno, holding out the pink treat. "Here you go Inferno, like I promised. We're going to be going back down into your old home today. Hope you're up to it."

Merchant nods.

"Yes yes. Merchant could use water pokemon. Much treasure to be had.
Perhaps catch Geodude later too. Didn't catch one yesterday. "

Ready to go, Merchant heads to the door.

Stefan follows Merchant, somewhat pleased that his suggestion was heeded.

"I'd like to grab a Geodude too, or perhaps a zubat for trade."

"The next caravan should be here in four or five hours, depending on traffic. It's a bit of a trip to and from Goldenrod, but they will definitely be here today. We'll have them for the people who ordered them yesterday, but if I need to order more it should only take another day. You won't need to pay for them."

Inferno takes hold of the pink treat, and is indifferent toward how he likes it. Apparently, the Gastly still holds a grudge... but it does enjoy sweet treats.

The crew of worker Machamp and Aggron push the door inward, and a caveat leads back into the hallway. The ruins are open once again!

Jones recalls Inferno, shoulders his pack, and heads for the Slag Ruins.

Stefan casts an envious glance at one of the aggron before following merchant down the long hallway to the unexplored grotto.

Jason checks the time once more before pulling out the chair leg... this wasn't worth anything... Another sigh escaped his lips before deciding to take the time to walk back to the city and heal his pokemon at the pokecenter and walking back.

Jones steps into the Antechamber, leading a line of seven Numel behind him like large, rather stupid ducklings. "Hey Fir! Is the Caravan here yet?"

Jason arrived back from town to the research camp and noticed the chain of Numel. "What...are you doing? Why...no...nevermind." Jason slowly turned and walked towards Fir's tent. "Is my dive suit here yet? There's quite a few things I want to check out in the Grotto."
