The behemoth pyramid stretches nearly fifty meters tall, with a long set of stairs climbing up the south side. From a distance, one can spy a good deal of light glistening in the stone hallway leading to the antechamber of the pyramid. Within minutes of setting foot on the clay stones that form the ground, the chattering of researches and gloating of treasure hunters fills any daring adventurer's ears.

The antechamber itself is stocked full of tents and lanterns, as well as the people who brought them. A research team of 50 people has decided to set up a base camp right in the mouth of the Clay Pyramid; close enough to tell the light of day, yet far enough into the stonework to feel overwhelmed by the tall tunnel they call home. A number of archaeologists have been painstakingly examining the Pokemon carvings that adorn the walls of the antechamber, while some of the laborers are taking an early break from clearing out the space for living. Lanterns are placed evenly around the chamber, and generators for laptops and machines are scattered about less frequently. From the wall opposite of the entrance, a massive set of stone double doors nearly 10 meters tall casts an ominous gaze on the whole party of researchers.

In the center of the base camp, a sign has been affixed to the ground, reading: "Explorers Needed! See Inside", pointing a large tent to the left. Rife, hearty laughter can be heard from inside.

Fir approves of the request. "We'll have one for you tomorrow, hopefully."

Everyone has drifted off to sleep for the night... the first day is finally at an end.

=======================================
Day 2
=======================================

The sun has risen, and an innumerable amount of alarms go off synchronously in the tents; not long after, the Antechamber is once again ripe with the sounds of research and good times. It's calmed a bit since the previous day, now that the archaeologists know they won't have to set foot in those massive stone doors any time soon, but the noise still echoes annoyingly off the chamber walls.

Fir's tent is open, and so is the general goods tent. The Poke Ball tent is oddly closed.

In the morning, Jason went to Fir's tent to check if they had gotten in the dive tank that he wanted. He wanted to search more of the underwater caverns and hoped that he'd be able to.

"Hey, Fir. I was wondering if you were able to get a hold of that dive tank for me. I don't have cash on me, but I'm sure I'll find something worth your while down there."

Merchant rises early in the morning, giant loot sack ready to go. He grabs his repair kit as well, just in case.

He makes two stops; one to pick up Firebat, and the other to find out when the Gas masks are expected.

Jones gets up from the corner he'd slept in with Digger as his pillow/guard mon, cracks his back, and then heads over to Fir's tent, Digger at his heels once more. "Hey Fir, I'd like Inferno back now please." As he talks to the man, he's digging in the bag-o-treats, and pulls out one of the pink ones, before putting the bag away again.

Stefan rises at eight am, having spent some of the night training. He first heads to the research tent to get his Pokemon, keeping an eye out for Merchant as well.

When Jones sees Merchant, he'll try to flag him down. "Hey, Merchant. You said that you can teach any pokemon False Swipe, right? I'd like you to teach it to Digger here, before we head back in today."

"Yes yes, this way."
Merchant leads Jones to his tent, where after getting paid he takes the Trapinch to a backroom. Thirty minutes later he comes out holding the pokemon.
"Digger now trained to crush sub vital points to keep victim conscious. Merchant tent always open to new business."
He sticks his head out the front door and spies Stephen. He beckons the man in before shooing Jones out the door.

Stefan makes the detour to Merchant tent. He hands man a wad of cash, only doing a cursory mental accounting of funds.

"The rest of your payment. And I'd like as many balls as 450 will buy me."
