The behemoth pyramid stretches nearly fifty meters tall, with a long set of stairs climbing up the south side. From a distance, one can spy a good deal of light glistening in the stone hallway leading to the antechamber of the pyramid. Within minutes of setting foot on the clay stones that form the ground, the chattering of researches and gloating of treasure hunters fills any daring adventurer's ears. The antechamber itself is stocked full of tents and lanterns, as well as the people who brought them. A research team of 50 people has decided to set up a base camp right in the mouth of the Clay Pyramid; close enough to tell the light of day, yet far enough into the stonework to feel overwhelmed by the tall tunnel they call home. A number of archaeologists have been painstakingly examining the Pokemon carvings that adorn the walls of the antechamber, while some of the laborers are taking an early break from clearing out the space for living. Lanterns are placed evenly around the chamber, and generators for laptops and machines are scattered about less frequently. From the wall opposite of the entrance, a massive set of stone double doors nearly 10 meters tall casts an ominous gaze on the whole party of researchers. In the center of the base camp, a sign has been affixed to the ground, reading: "Explorers Needed! See Inside", pointing a large tent to the left. Rife, hearty laughter can be heard from inside. After purchasing his goods, Jason glanced towards Fir and shook his head. "I just needed some more supplies. I don't know where anyone else is." With that, he entered back into the catacombs, stopping at the three way fork wondering which way to go. |

Jones shakes his head. "Not dead, but they ended up splitting up. We found some... pretty amazing stuff already. Past the initial hallway there's a very large chamber with three openings. One of which leads into what can best be described as a slagged down city. Fir, there's naturally type-shifted pokemon down there. I even caught one. I also found a couple of small artifacts for your team to look over." he pulls out the urn, and the glass he'd recovered, and sets them both down gently. |

Two architects immediately pick up the artifacts, whisking them into a large tent. "The artifacts are appreciated, but... if you really caught a naturally-shifted Pokemon, would you mind letting us borrow it? For research, and you'd get it back tomorrow, most likely." |

Jones chews his lip for a moment. "I need to talk it over with him. I only just caught him, and he's pretty aggressive. I also promised him his choice of a reward for helping me acquire that glass. Which way is the dining hall? Once I get him his treat I'll see if I can convince him to let you scan him and do non-invasive tests. By the way, how much are those two items worth anyway? I need to stock up on some extra supplies, like pokeballs." |

"Fair enough." Fir points toward a large tent next to the one the other two architects disappeared into. "You can grab some food there. For a vase and glass... those two would maybe net you 500 Pyen, but that's just a guess; they'll pay you once they appraise the object properly." |

Jones nods, and heads for the tent that Fir had pointed out to him. He'll head over to the nearest cook. "Excuse me, could you please take out a small sample of the various pokemon treats we've got on-hand? I've got a new mon that I promised a treat after he helped me out." |

Of the two cooks, one obliges, handing Jones a menagerie of various flavored treats. Seems like a mixed bag of small treats, with five colors of different flavors. "That should last you three days, if you're just usin'm for treats. You'll still need to come here for food, unless you find some, or brought some." OOC

Jones will release Inferno, and hold out a selection of the six different types of treats for him to choose from. "Here you go, just like I promised. Pick your favorite type." Spoiler: click to toggle

The Gastly looks at the collection of treats... and goes for a yellow one. It seems indifferent at the flavor, but appreciates it nonetheless. From the way Gastly puckets up, it seems the yellow treat is a bit sour.

"I have another favor I'd like to ask of you Inferno. You're kind of unique outside of the pyramid. Naturally type-shifted pokemon are incredibly rare. Some of the people here want to examine you overnight. I've already asked, and non of the tests would be invasive, or painful. They'd be scanning you, and just seeing what you could do in general. Would you be up to doing that? It'd only be for one night, and I'd give you another treat afterwards; promise." |
