I recently did a sociology experiment about Pokémon's influence on gender roles. I came up with some pretty interesting stuff, so I thought I'd take it a bit farther by analyzing the PTU community.
So... three questions for each of you, if you'd be so kind.

1) Are you a boy? Or a girl?
2) What role do you normally play in your PTU group? (GM, Breeder, Psychic, etc)
3) How did you get involved with PTU?

I'll break the ice and start us off.
Spoiler: click to toggle

Looking forward to learning more about you! I'll happily analyze the data after a while and show you how awesome it is!

1) Male like everyone else
2) Aura Guardian
3) On a different forum, someone brought it up in a pokemon thread. We started a game but that died real fast, so I went looking for other games.

Boy. Or at least I was this morning, lemme double-check...
...yep, still a boy.

GM, for about 1.5 years now. Even when I'm a player, I end up having a toe in the GM pool, just from how i act.

I found the game via Penny Arcade's forums, back when they had like twelve different PTA games running simultaneously. I liked the rules, made a spreadsheet to understand them better... And here I am.

1) Male.
2) The fighter, edging in as barbarian.
3) A carryover from PTA, I know some of the PTU devs well. For PTA, I played a game and made friends with a (now former) dev, a friendship that is lasting. Afterwards, I dug my roots in, becoming a now grunt of the system developments.
