We'll keep all of your thoughts and suggestions in mind as we prepare the next update. The reason this splat currently has less detail is as trul said, to avoid players who will argue "but this is what the book says". I can see that you all have your own opinions on the topic, and they will be taken into account as we continue our work.

What is your goal in a splatbook? When you crafted this, and you said "I want this book to _____." what filled the blank? It seems as if there were some varied expectations on the product you delivered, and I'd like to hear what your goals for the product were. This will allow for more informed comments in the future and prevent misunderstandings.

Alright then.

"I want this book to" provide players with some setting information and ideas, as well as classes and fluff information so they might better create and improve upon their fantasy/medieval campaigns, regardless of magical level.

As always, I appreciate the feedback.

Sorry for the intense thread necro here, but I wasn't sure where else to put it. I'd just like to put in a request for some ship mechanics to be put in. I realize that vehicles are covered in the Sci Fi slpat, but there would be some differences in a fantasy setting. Its just that, with 20% of the 'big picture' stuff being pirate themed, it'd be great to have some shipbuilding and fighting mechanics (along with stuff like boarding boats, battering rams, and the like). It would be a nice solid mechanical base for what would be an essential part of a pirate campaign (they'll be off the ship a lot too, but what good is a pirate campaign without naval combat?)

Again, sorry if this is in the wrong place, but I just wanted to recommend that this be put on the table as you're approaching a re-release of the splat.

There's too much on our plate as is to make polished ship rules for GoT, unfortunately.

One of my friends has been GMing a pirates campaign though, and he said I could post up his ship rules. They're clunky and make rather narrow assumptions about the kind of ship being used (in his words), but you can probably work with them to adapt something less specific to that particular campaign. http://pastebin.com/brqZjiHZ
