hm... that's peculiar... Only think I can think of that name coming from is the word "sylvan", which is related to trees or being tree-like. Since they already have their grass-type, what the heck does that name have to do with the pink ribboned thing?

It's.... an argument for Bug type I guess. Flying is still viable I suppose, but it's not too Far'Fetched it can be a Normal type. It can refer to the Fae, which could be associated with any of those three types. I think that effectively disproves Dragon though.

According to Serebii, german name is Feelinara. Soooo normal? Or does "feeling" mean something different in German?

Just a reference to 'fairy' (Fee).

Edit: What is written on the arrow from Eevee to Ninfa/Sylveon?

well if we're gonna take a Fae/fairy angle, the majority of those are normal type...

Taking the fairy egg group as a guide, there are:

14 normal types (8 evo lines)
5 electric (4 lines, all of them pikachu or its shameless clones)
5 flying (two of whom are normal/flying in the same evo line, the other three are the same evo line)
4 water (Manaphy, Phione, and the auril line)
11 grass (5 evo lines)
1 fighting (a fighting/grass)
two poison (grass/poison of the same evolutionary line)
one steel
three ice (all same evo line)
one ghost (ice/ghost)

if it's supposed to be "fairy-like", that's strong evidence for normal-type.

edit: I'd like to point out that there are no bug-types in the "fairy" egg group, and only one flying evolution line that isn't also normal type.

Well, also to remember is a Sylph is an air spirit, so I don't think it hurt it's chances as being a flying type. I'd put it at a 50/50 for being either flying or normal at this point.
