Fine, then in a not so finnicky language: Diese Legendären Pokemon sehen beschissen aus, was nicht heisst das die Leute die sie mögen beschissen sind, sondern diese Viehcher, guckt euch die mal an, richtig abartig. Einfach nur dumm dämlich.

Also, Iäd like to exempt the lati-twins from this statement, they nbow look even more like jets which is awesome.

...Now I'm reminded of my school dropping German from the curriculum the same year I was finally eligible to take it...

I think I got about six words of that. If we're counting 'Pokemon.'

@SinGin:

Ich würde deutsch jetzt nicht als weniger pingelige Sprache bezeichnen...

And I guess those legendaries are okay. Fairies are the new type, so it seems at least two of them are Fairy-Types. It would make sense for them to be a bit more whimsical.

@Doresh: Weniger pingelig als Englisch.

Only one is according to the person who posted the leaks.

Types are Fairy/rock, water/fire, and psychic/ghost (Hahaha enjoy those double weaknesses.)

I love my steel-types. And ghost-types, dark-types, bug-types... Ghost/Bug-types...

And I don't mind the look of the three legendaries that much. I don't like them, and there's an aspect or two of each that I'd have preferred being different, but it's not like they make my eyes bleed. Like some of the mega evolutions. I don't think those will ever warm up to me...

Yeah, I kind of feel the same way. On both counts. The legendaries aren't bad, but they're a little over-designed for me. I know the designs are going to get more detailed as the graphics get updated, but it feels like it clashes with the aesthetic. (Also Diancie's lower half just bugs me. Maybe it's just because it's asymmetrical with only having the one corner polished like that.)

Which yeah, some megas have a bad case of as well. Garchomp and Lucario spring to mind... and on the other hand something like Gardevoir leans the other way. The Gen-1 starters and things like Gengar seem to strike a happy medium for me. I'd put Kangaskhan in the under-designed category but it at least makes sense why it's that way - its mega-evolution is just the baby coming out and fighting alongside it, something people have been making fan-mon about since Gen 1.

I think this is a problem for all mega-evolutions: They can't look too different (because they have to look like an upgraded Pokemon, not one that has evolved into a different species), but tinkering with the original design might ruin what made it great to begin with.

in my opinion, most of the mega-evolution designs are over the top and over designed. they do not fit with my sense of what pokemon artwork looks like.

Yeah, Manectric and Mewtwo are definite examples of the over-designed...although I bloody love Ampharos and Absol.
