The problem is, with Talonflame being 126 base Speed, it's already faster than almost everything. While it is useful against Aerodactyl or Jolteon, for the most part, Priority does nothing for you, because you're already faster than your opponent.

The counter to that is you don't have to waste a speed nature, EVs or IVs into speed to outspeed things normally faster than you. Still has use.

So X and Y was kinda weak in the game department, but I'm honestly really excited to see what gets transferred over to the tabletop. There were a lot of cool (if under developed) ideas in Kalos and such. I'm already taking notes on what the fancy food mentioned in the resaurants are, so I can use them for flavor text.

I disagree regarding your first statement. This generation made competitive battling much more accessible, improved inter player interaction, and streamlined multiple redundant features. While the main story was somewhat weak and easy for veterans, the changes made will help improve its longevity and appeal to a broad player demographic.

Regarding Gale wings, it means I can put those speed evs into, say defense or attack. It also means I have a solid check or counter to a variety of speed boosted sweepers.

UrsustheGrim: As someone who plays for story, exploration, and characters, I kinda got the short end of the stick. It made the outer-game better sure, but I'd prefer if the inter-game (inner-game) improved, or at least stayed at the same quality it was last game.

Fair enough. There were some aspects that I liked. Team Flare felt more like a criminal family than any other organization, and I liked that its boss had a presence in the public arena. Team Rocket will always be more memorable, of course, and I do feel that black and white had the strongest story.

So yes, for the lone wolf playing it entirely for single player, I'd agree with you.

The 'team' you travel with actually seemed to make the world more alive. The characters themselves were a bit flat, but I loved the idea. Helped the head-canon I was writing for my character.
