I was talking about the starters, not the mega forms.

me too I'm wondering why hold on to your starter when they give you a kanto starter that can mega? the only reason why I can see is if you are limited to one activation of mega per battle leaving you with 5 slots of normal pokemon

Because it's not all about the metagame, no matter how much Smogon wishes it was?

I'd like to point out that no Kalos pokemon are getting Mega-Evos in XY. They aren't limiting themselves to future Mega-Evos. I wouldn't be surprised in the slightest if when Z comes out, it comes packaged with a bunch of Gen 6 Mega Evos, so you've already fallen in love with them, now your MORE in love with them.

I'm pretty sure it's been confirmed that there's only one mega per battle.

Not to mention in the metagame you can't have two of the same item IIRC.

So stop throwing a hissyfit, there will be more to teams then 6 mega's. The new pokemon and the new starters will have their value.

Honestly, the Mega evolutions (snagged from good old Digimon) are the second reason I'll not be buying X or Y. The first reason being the fact that it is not worth the purchase of a 3DS for that game.

I will be using the new Pokémon in my PokTA/PokTU games, though, just houseruling that there is no Mega Evolutions. That way, I will never have to deal with the abomination which is MewTwo X...

oi! I liked digimon(and just wait till the 2ds hits the used market you know you'll buy it)

Really no matter how much I note or complain about how GF plays games with my head I will likely still like and buy what they make.

As for megas in table top games I've rarely seen games hit lvl30, use mawile, or leggies. so I doubt its gonna be an issue that comes up often.
