The stupid poodle gets hot pants; why don't I get hot pants?
...not sure why I care; I think I'm quitting anyway.

I still think Sumopin is amazing, though.

New stuff.

Grass, Ghost, and Electric-type Pokemon gain new effect resistances. Grass-types Pokemon are now immune to powder and spore moves. Ghost-type Pokemon are now immune to effects that prevent fleeing. Electric-type Pokemon are now immune to paralysis.

Well, that escalated quickly. Things just got really interesting.

The English name of Haribōgu, Chespin's evolved form, is Quilladin. It is the Spiny Armor Pokémon. The hard spikes on its body are harder than Chespin's. It is gentle and avoids battle.

So not only is it dumb looking it's also a wimp.

Today I learned to not judge a mon by its official art some of the fan art makes quilladin look pretty good actually,
But yeah this gen is probably gonna be bad with self contradicting dex entries, for example:

Fletching is friendly and popular with young trainers and children. It is also relentlessly fearocious and probably inclined to eat babies or behead puppies or something

Quilladin is well suited and equipped to play the role of a justice dealing armored paladin protecting innocents from braixen sorcery and frogadier thievery. He is also gentle and will fold like wet tissue paper and let these villains have their way to avoid fighting cause obviously if its "gentle" that means it never stands up to baddies. yeah...

I also am starting to like Quilladin. I suppose he is adorable in an odd, quirky kind of way. I think my problem when I was first saw him was that I had spent too much time looking at fake evolutions and was expecting something much different.
