Note on Fennekin's 2nd form: It knows Psycho Cut. I don't see any Fighting type having that without being part Psychic and I don't see any starter abandoning its type. But ya, Chespin's second form has completely turned me off it. Digging Froakie's though. Oh don't forget we have Type chart for Fairy. From Serebii: "According to this, Fairy is Super Effective on Fighting, Dark and Dragon and not effective on Fire, Poison or Steel. It also states that it is weak to Poison and Steel while resists Fighting, Dark and Bug. It is immune to Dragon." There is an (unconfirmed) bit about Steel losing resistances to Dark and Ghost (I hope not, Steel/Ghost is one of my favorite type shifts and make Honedge not as awesome). EDIT: On OP Abilities: I think your blowing them out of proportion. The Biting-Boosting ability probably won't be anymore powerful than Iron Fist and besides Bite, no Biting moves have a significant Flinch chance. The ability that resists Physical moves doubtfully shaves off a whole half. It probably more likely having an automatic +1 Defense or something like that. On Normal-to-Ice, I don't think many mon will have that ability specifically, so it be a niche ability limited to who learns it. And frankly if it isn't, its welcome, because so many mon get Normal moves that are just worthless compared to its Type'd selection. Better to have an SE chance and Resisted chance than to be dealing neutral all the time. And again, its probably no more than Iron Fist's boost (x1.2), so your Return and Hyper Beam will become stronger and thats all I see it being used for. Edited by yugi0003, Sep 11 2013, 06:04 AM.

Yeah the fire/fighting bit was more of a joke on my part on account of fennekin going bipedal and posing like lucario. With the new type chart I wonder how long it will be before the homebrew forum is flooded with fairy elementalist and magical girl classes? EDIT: OP abilities: yeah its just me joking around again, but I won't be surprised when people ask their gm's or the devs for 17 more abilities that shift their normal typed moves like freeze skin for free. (example noob: KEN I HAZ DRAGAN SKIN PLZ!!:)!!!) Edited by passinglurker, Sep 11 2013, 06:15 AM.

I'm comparing it to Piplup's and Tepig's second forms. I really disliked both of them (neither were as bad as that, but still). There is hope yet for the grass starter. The water starter on the other hand, continues to live up to my expectation of generally being the best designed throughout the franchise. I like both the first and second forms of Froakie more than that of their peers. |

I'm hoping fully evolved Froakie is some kind of speed demon frog, thats super lanky and fast. Dunno why, the second form put that image in my mind. |

I am really sad....I was planning on starting with Chespin. Although it might be amusing to see a martial artist use him as a bowling ball with rollout. *Character ideas for the future* I am loving a lot of the new pokemon. Especially both of the Nyaonikusu genders. I am definitely going to grab one of those in game. Also mewtwo has another megaform wut? Edited by Niria, Sep 11 2013, 07:57 AM.
