@Yenek: That's certainly true for the first time your switch it in; do we know if Mega-Evolve sticks for the rest of battle, even if you switch it out? Re-applying it in such a switch-heavy metagame seems clunky at best.

Mega-Evolve does stick for the full battle. And I have to wonder, are they going to give the rest of the starters Mega Evolutions?

Blazekin would suggest no, since it was explicitly stated to be extra, out of game content (and they didn't release similar info for other gen 3 starters).

If I'm understanding correctly, you also get to pick a Gen 1 Starter along with your Gen 6 starter. So you start the game with 2 friggin' starters!
Is this confirmed, or still in conjecture phase? It would be awesome

Conjecture at this point. All we know is that the Prof does give the PC a Kanto starter at some point. Though the tiny amount of dialogue that we see in the clip does seem to imply it's when you're just starting out. Of course, it could be a mid-game event too; after getting a badge, or access to the Mega Ring.

Probably after getting Korrina's badge.

Of course, this had to be the FIRST result when I searched Google Images for "hype train".

So, there's been a new leak over on 2Chan.

This is a supposed list of all prior-gen mon that get Mega Evolutions.

If you put "Mega Evolution" into Google translate, and have it translate it to Japanese, you get some of the kanji at the top.
