My group's ongoing campaign revolves around Dr. Fuji's experiments, and Team Rocket (the organization) being the support vehicle for his, ah, "fund raising". It features a hypercompetent (or at least high level) version of Jessie/James/Meowth, who seem to have custom character classes. My character is based on Phoenix Wright from the Ace Attorney games (because the Detective class gives one abilities that are compatible with this concept)... a Coordinator who is trying to earn money to fund his online law degree. (he actually has traits of many of the characters from the series, such as an ability to materialize hot coffee from nowhere so long as it is accompanied by a ridiculous fauxlisophical statement, and a deathly fear of earthquakes/the move Earthquake) Still waiting on getting Smart Teacher so he can teach his starter Ralts, Maya, to speak. This lends context to my favorite moment: While running from some horrifying human/Pokemon experimental hybrids, the Rocket Trio showed up and started doing the motto. My character stopped running and interrupted their motto with an OBJECTION, then presented evidence from his Court Record to show that their motto contained contradictory testimony. Then... the monsters caught up and almost got him. Last session, Team Rocket finally got fed up with our ruining their various plans, so Giovanni personally set us up... and we found out that he has Mewtwo. And now we're all captured and on our way to become experiments ourselves. The only escapee was my Jigglypuff... my evil Jigglypuff (is there any other kind?) named Dahlia (and if you've played Ace Attorney through game three, you know what that means!) Our game session this week was cancelled, so our poor characters get an extra week of SCIENCE. |

The above contains overwhelming amounts of awesomeness. Hey, Gardevoir has INT 7, so if your GM is nice enough she might get human speech automatically!
...uh oh. |

When I accidently opened a pokeball containing a Heatran at the top floor of Silph co. The Heatran then proceeded to use dig. Needless to say, there were very little survivors and the PC network was down for days. My party hasn't let me live it down down since. ![]() Truly, my greatest moment. So in the campaign my friend is running, another friend, a psychic/rainwaker/empath/clairvoyant decided to launch a devistating, 94 damage Dark Pulse while his Swoobat... named Swoo... was in the blast radius... THEN, to top it all off, he sent out his Wailmer, and then got flinched, so the wailmer decided.... since it was surrounded by Persians... in it's infinite wisdom... to use surf... Needless to say there were alot of downed Persians and trainers... He was left with 7 HP... out of 172HP... This caused much giggling.

My favorite moment in my campaign was when my players battled a Team Plasma attack helicopter. They were all riding on a tropius,, and were ambushed by them. One of my players teleported his Ralts into the helicopter, detonated a smoke grenade, then jumped out of it as it exploded. They then proceeded to melt the bulk of the helicopter with my party member's Fire type hidden power (due to my deciding the type advantage effected things besides pokemon.) As the copter went down in flames, our 12 year old Ranger rode away on her tropius, "howling like a wolf and flashing them the double bird." As the flaming Plasma members attempted to jump out of the burning wreckage, she punctured their parachutes with razor leaf, letting them to plummet to their deaths. My game is insane. |

All right speaking of ones that you quit it reminds me of one of the more infamous memorable campaign that I left. It was one that was filled with THE weirdest roleplayers ever assembled. Being that this was online I thought we might as well troll this one so a friend and I joined in. I played an up and coming Pokemon photographer and he played an overly developed 11-year-old girl. So our adventure began in Pallet town where professor Oak was handing out Pokeballs to the kids in town. We (the heroes) had already received our Pokemon a while back and he had called us to tell us about some mysterious attacks from a Meoweth shaped hot air balloon. I tell you that there were other kids getting Pokemon because of this line:
Poor lonely kid. Professor Oak is a dick! Well after that we began to arrive and what a weird motley crew. Besides the two characters I have already mentioned we have (Names have been changed to protect the innocent. :p) Zaz, a hyper-active trainer always ready to go, Orthello, another boy who becomes my rival for the affection of my friends character (11-year-old girl), Ricardo, who is just pretty bland, and Tina, who at best I can describe her as a 30-something year old woman Researcher who has an oral fixation. At this point I am sure you are thinking "Huh!?" But yeah she was there. Want proof?
And, as further proof, this is her character pic: https://dl.dropbox.com/u/4289292/3ba3fb85%20%281%29.jpg WOWZA!!! That is all. All right so this is just getting started. So we all meet up and learn about Team Rocket and that pictures are usually take by photographers.
After being given a Pokedex we begin our adventure by traveling up route 1. Along the way we attempt to catch Pokemon and my character is shamelessly pokedexing everything I see. Soon a rivalry begins between Othello and I as we try and catch her cute Pokemon. Meanwhile Zaz:
HOLY CRAP! That kid has some energy. Along the way Tina suddenly just leaves the chatroom without warning and is never heard from again. I think whoever was playing her may have realized that the character was too old and really out of place. Anyway to bring this one big crazy adventure to a close Othello and I finally Pokemon battle for Charlie's (11-year-old girl) affection and I end up losing. Having lost I decide that I will leave the group in order to become a better Pokemon Trainer and be back to win. As I walk off towards the sunset:
And that was pretty much the end of a crazy insane Pokemon RPG. I am not sure if they continued or what, but it was crazy and unintentionally funny. |

That line had to have been scripted. There's no way anyone ad-libs that. ...or is there... I suppose there is worse. *checks behind shoulder to make sure he's not being stalked* |
