... that physically hurt to read. Please man, use proper grammar. I know you're trying to be "in character" with your post, but that was just.. bad. Also confusing and rather bland overall. I'm still not sure what happened.

So I guess I have a real one. I'm in the process of joining a campaign (a different one than with the mad scientist Cottonee, but it has skill backgrounds for Pokemon as well) and doing some prep work to get in. Right now my character is trying to find some info on Giratina, and she's heard of someone named "GH" who has a vast archive on the subject, but there is no info on his location.

This campaign is based in Johto, and my character heard that Blackthorn City and Elm's lab have a bit of info on Giratina, but finding GH would strike the big time. The only method of contact with GH is via email, so she sent one. A day later she got a response saying that, quote, "They regret to inform you that unless you make a grand contribution financialy, scientifically, or if you made a great discovery, that you are not permitted to use their archives."

I kinda figured as much, but the GM allows me to use a Tech Edu check to try and trace GH's location from the email. My character is a bit of a bruiser and not good with computers, so her Pokemon made the check instead. And this happened:

warning, about half of this is profanity

It was an interesting experience.

You should get a team of Mankey on typewriters, and have them roll a Skill Check to see if they can write the next great novel.

I would, but I don't know how to evaluate:

lim [x > ∞] tech * (mnk)^(xt)

so I don't know what the required skill check is.

uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
it's mostly just me hijacking the universe in interesting ways; I'm not sure if the game itself is a factor of such

It may not be as dramatic as others, but in one of my games I had a player who had to drop out early on, but since I liked his character so much I made him an NPC. Recently the party rescued him and another npc, and later accompanied them to a Shrine of Meloetta, where the arc ending fight take place. As luck turned out, the old player was around, so I let him play his old character for the fight. Not super flashy but I liked it.

In today's PTU game, we had a gym battle, and then due to one of our players going to bed early, had the other four characters exploring the city. My character decided to visit a flower shop she had passed before the gym battle, and ended up buying bouquets for each of her teammates. She managed to hand out three of them this session, with the last one ready for the player who left early. It involved quite a bit of discussion about flower symbolism, as well as several very cute scenes when she handed out each bouquet. (Surolam is my character)

Jericho the Rogue

Altair, Surolam's semi-confidante

Molly the Meowstic pirate captain

In which DNA is to blame for everything:

So last night's session in my PTU game (the same game that Gray mentioned directly above), we've been trying to decide what we did with two boats we stole from a gang who was going around making a lot of trouble for people. (We will discuss the moral implications of our acts later, as they don't fall under the Rule of Funny.)

Before we leave town, we have an important decision to make: either sell the boats in town (it's at a port) for what little we can get, or rebuild them into a wagon-ferry for later use just in case. After all, we're trainers. We'll carry a boulder up a mountain if we think it's ours. The party of five is evenly split on the matter (my character was the only one who was completely ambivalent), though we come to a decision that the ones who want to sell the boat will look for a buyer, and failing that, we'll re-purpose them. (One of the party members who wants to keep the boat is planning to outbid the buyer regardless, though, so we keep the boat. However we're hoping it doesn't come to that.

Eventually one of the other guys does find a buyer, a big burly Machamp who's a local barkeep, who another party member has met before. He goes out to see the boats, which are currently moored at the dock.

And then this happens:

Quote:

Barkeep: "Those them?" He points down the docks with his two right hands, each pointing at a different boat.
Jericho: "Those are the ones."
Barkeep: "Alright, let's take a look." He nudges the boats with a foot once or twice, rocking them side-to-side, before hopping in with a hearty leap.
Avara: *wince*

And then this happens:

Quote:

DNA: inb4 he makes a roll to see if they break
Avara: he just did
Jericho: (( shhhh! Don't give him ideas, DNA! ))
Mike: (( Well, now that you've given me the idea... ))
Jericho: (( DAMNIT DNA ))
Mike: (( As we used to say at my old table, "Shit you don't say" ))
Avara: >>
Mike: (( :D ))
Avara: hahahaha
DNA: EVERYTHING I DO, I DO IT FOR LUUUUUUUUUUULZ!!!

And then, as you can imagine, this happens:

Quote:

Boat (rowboat) (Younger): The GM should be VERY MEAN!
Jericho: (( Oh hell ))
Surolam: (( NOOOOOOOOO ))
Jericho: (( thanks a lot, DNA ))
* Mike literally laughs out loud.
DNA: Believe it or not, I regret nothing.
Barkeep: O.O'
* Barkeep hops in the boat, but a foot goes through the bottom of the vessel! And then he falls chin-first, hitting it on the ship's side.
Jericho: Jericho winces "Yeesh, barkeep, I warned you they were used. You alright?"
* Barkeep 's chin wins that battle, denting the boat's side. But not without some damage to his chinny-chin-chin.

Then he tried to recover his salvaged pride by pulling out the you-break-it-you-buy-it line.
It didn't work. So we're out a buyer.

On the plus side, we managed to convince the Machamp to help us rebuild the boats, so it's not a total lose-lose. But the session ate up so much time that we'll have to get to it next week.

I wonder how I can ruin things next time...

That session also had the distribution of the last bouquet, which led to flirting, or more accurately, what might count for flirting between an android and a somewhat-sheltered rich girl.
