Well, since it doesn't specify wins or fails...

When I play Tabletops, my characters usually have this innate passive (sorry, play League a lot so I use quite a few terms from it) that makes them fail any alcohol consumption checks. So far, I've only succeeded once out of the five times this has happened. Anyways, in last week's PTA session we arrived at a town that had a bar, and one of our party members immediately suggested to go inside (and it was voted by majority of the party to go in). They all knew about my aforementioned paragraph, and because I wanted to see what would happen, I tempted the RNG and did a normal d20 role. I got a 20 and it wouldn't count. Now comes the actual roles (OOC I didn't want to, IC I decided one couldn't hurt). I rolled a 1. From a 20, to a 1. I knew it was coming, and it happened. Everyone was laughing their heads off (we were in a Skype Call), while I was shouting "I knew it would happen!".

Reminds me of something that happened to me once. It was part of the campaign, though outside a session.

So I was talking with my GM, out of session, about the appearance of someone in my character's backstory, to appear in the campaign itself. (Specifically, it was my character's twin sister, whom he hadn't seen in years.) I wanted it to happen, if only once, so I talked with the GM at length about it.

My GM was very up-front with me: the odds of them crossing paths would be less than 1%. I had a feeling this would be the case, so I mentally prepared myself to get a natural 100 on a 1d100, while out loud asking the GM how to handle this. In the spirit of fairness, my GM asked me to pick a number and roll a d20, and if it matched the number I guessed, then bam, they would cross paths.

I realize what a weighty and precise decision this is, so I think it over and try to think of the number that's been rolled the most throughout the campaign. I decide ultimately on '9', and roll the d20.

I got a 20.

I was dangerously close to blowing a gasket. The one time I didn't want a 20, and there it was.

Thankfully, my GM, again in the spirit of fairness (or maybe just pity), decided that something would happen out of that - rather than crossing paths, he would just find out where his twin was instead. I was okay with this, mostly because the unwanted 20 didn't go to waste. Still, it was very irritating when it happened.

My most memorable moment, as a GM was last Thursday when my girlfriend and I finally got to end the campaign we had been running all year. It was a campaign about the deoxys infection and my players were staying up nearly all night every thursday to get it done. We finally got to the mountain tops where the final boss was and my players successfully beat 4 level 100 deoxys, 1 level 150 deoxys, and 1 level 200 deoxys all in a row before finally getting the crystal out of the level 200 deoxys's chest and returning it to the madman named Profressor VonHatter (a creation of one of my best friends in the first campaign I ran) and saving the world. I was so proud of my players, and of myself, because it brought them all to tears of joy and victory in the grande ceremony that took place half a year later in the game timeline.

I'm more surprised that they won those battles in succession without healing (unless you had let them heal in between rounds and refresh move frequencies).

The first kill in my Home Sweet Hoenn game. The group had stumbled on a mixed bag of Taillow, Swablu and Wingull in a mexican standoff around a trio of Kricketune. The decide, screw it ,we're attacking all of them. One PC mon gets KO'd, but otherwise they're doing alright. A Taillow and Swablu are both captured, the others are either knocked out or flee. Finally it's down to the two WIngull. One injured, the other not. The Capspec has a Voltorb that's been tearing up the place, he orders a Spark on the untouched Wingull, while he goes for the capture on the injured one. He connects with both. Injured Wingull is caught... and the healthy Wingull plummets all the way to -200%, which is also coincidentally -50 HP. Instakill. The entire group was stunned. There was some excellent drama afterwards, but I had to cut the session short. We'll see how letting the PCs stew on this latest happening will affect the game.

Letting your pcs think about stuff like that for a while is AWESOME. I always enjoy screwing with my player's perceptions and heads.

End of Myneo Campaign... *waaaaaaaaaah!*

And after what was a hilariously insane unsanctioned pokemon battle, we stopped the baddies and celebrated Myneo-style.

===================

So picture you're a CIPHER grunt, after witnessing The Charizard and a freakin' Reshiram both of them carrying trainers take on and hold their own against the three shadow legendaries that had given you absolute supremacy over the city before. This after reports of a group of teenagers somehow snuck into the city and managed to obliterate the snagger development lab and rescue the hostages, while escaping the patrols chasing them. Then suddenly a wave of...something passed over the city, reverting your shadow pokemon back to their normal selves, you hear this from the airship flying above what was supposed to be your city:

"HEY CIPHER @#$@(#$@#$%&#@#$*@$!($*@#$@#$(@#@$@$)@$!@#(@#$%^&*(&*^%$#@$%^&*(^@#$!$#%^&$#@!@$#^* HEADS!"

...that was a teenager's voice, and slowly it got worse.

"Oi Tommy! Give a guy some warning...also."

"YEAH YOU &$&^%$#@&%@#%* RETARDS! YOU GOT BEAT BY REAL &^#*@^@!^%*!@*%^ TRAINERS FROM^#^*%#$*$# TRANSVERSE!! PAGE REPRESENT!"

"And a special shout out to Phil!"

"Wonder how many of them that knocked unconcious."

"*Cough* Right. Now that we got your attention. As you may have noticed, the shadow pokemon are free. Grim is Dead. and *real baddie* is kookoo for coco puffs. It's over."
(Actually fought to death, like literally, he overexerted himself...he was a Major (Hellsing) expy)

"No wonder why Jade does it all the time, it's relaxing."

"Oh, and Jane? If you run, you'll just have an uglier mugshot photo when we drag your sorry ass back."

"Anything you want to add?"

"I'm good..."

"Oh yeah! Patrol group 19, blonde chick with the green uniform? One of the guys by the tunnel we entered digs you, you might want to talk with him...umm, after he wakes up."

"I'm okay now."

"I sincerely hope all of you get fed nothing but moldy gruel in prison. And a very special &@*# you, once again, to Phil."

"I can second that."

"...and who's Phil?"

"...S'gotta be one of them named Phil."

"Right, Tommy can you use your super-phone to call our Ranger buddy and tell him we've got a new toy for the Ranger Corps?"

"...hey, you think we can keep the zepplin?"

"Zepplin?"

"Airship, whatever, this thing, imagine all the not-walking we'll be doing."

"Not important at the moment."

"But yeah. Cipher Goons, drop your pokeballs, ect. ect. $^@*#'s hit the fan. Make it easier on yourselves. PEACE."

=========================================

Yup, teenage heroes who actually act like it. There's nothing worse methinks.

I love the random Phil. Also, true heroes aren't trained - they're thirteen, barely able to wield their chosen weapon, and win because that's how the world's made.

Also, Bravo to your players! Finishing a campaign takes serious work, and obviously they deserved the win. Congrats to you, "Yes, you!", (not) the GM!

Actually the GM was JamestheFox. Vael and I were merely players.
