For my character: When I caught a Feebas in a fishing competition and won second place because of its rarity.

For another player: Having Ralts copy (my) Poliwag's Water Absorb during a triple battle against our rivals, then Double Teaming, then having the real Ralts hiding away. About an hour later, when me and the other player were out of Pokemon, the GM FINALLY attacked the right Ralts with Water Gun, only to heal it.

Oh there had been SO many, in fact, I would say almost all of our campaign was pretty great. Honestly one of the best things I have run bar none.

The first one that comes to mind is the Crowning Moment of Awesome when one of the players completely took me by surprise. Team Rocket was getting away, they had taken off from the Pokemon Tower in their balloon getting away. One of the character's Desmond would not have it. He said, "I jump for the rope as it is taking off." I was dumbfounded. I told him that if he fell that it would be the end of him, he didn't care. I had him make some Strength checks and rolling like a champ he climbed his way up into the basket and proceeded to beat the ever living daylights out of them with his Hitmonlee.

The second one was a couple of Crowning Moments of funny. One was where the heroes had a "Hot Springs" episode where they all went to the local hot springs on Cinnabar Island and the guys got into their heads that it would be funny to sneak over to the girls side and take pictures. There were disguises involved and regret later on. The other moment was when a long lost love showed up and revealed the real name of one of the character who was going by Pyro. His real name was Cygnus and she would not stop calling him that much to his chagrin. And then there was jealous over the another player who was not even interested in him.

The final moment was a Crowning Moment of Heartwarming during the final chapters of the game. The heroes had discovered who was the true threat and the true threat had awakened an ancient evil, the Eldritch Abomination Missingno. Slowly the creature began enveloping the country and just before they were swallowed into the nothingness the two characters who had been sharing a love interest between each embraced in one last kiss before they were swallowed into the other dimension.

It was a great campaign.

...I actually remembered the Crowning Moment of Awesome for my character. Well, specifically, it was when my character's signature Pokemon, then a Ralts, established her permanent reputation.

So there was this request on a bulletin board in the Pokemon Center that there was a rag-tag group of Fighting Pokemon going around challenging trainers and breaking their Poke Balls if they lost. We went out of town and found them (there was about 5, and the leader was a Croagunk) harassing a Swablu and Audino. One of our other players, the Martial Artist of the group, challenged the Croagunk leader to a one-on-one, to which the Croagunk accepted.

Then later on the Croagunk band started cheating and harassing the Martial Artist, ganging up on him. My (character's) Ralts then started urging her trainer to give her an order - after all, he's a trainer, he should be stepping up. I had my character order a Confusion on the Croagunk.

Its head exploded, scattering its brains everywhere.

The Ralts struck a pose, snapped her fingers, and all the other Fighting types just instantly bowed down to her. She even asked her trainer (Which one would you like, master?). Everyone just became terrified of her.

That incident started a trend of unintentional murders throughout our campaign. I'm actually not sure if that Croagunk incident was intentional or not; it could have been either. But yes - that was the Crowning Moment of Awesome.

The campaign I run has been pretty memorable so far, but this is one of my favorite moments, that I never let my players forget.

To cut to the thick of it, my players had been turned into Pokemon. They had found their way to a small cabin dedicated to protecting wilds, and found out that the forest's Pokemon were all getting sick, and that some of the more intelligent Pokemon, as well as the people running the cabin, figured out that it was the berries in the forest; they had somehow become poisoned. As a result, most Pokemon were starving, or sick. Important detail: no less than four seperate characters told them this, in the same session.

My players left the cabin to complete their quest, and after some shenanigans, noticed a pair of eyes looking at them from under a bush. Despite their repeated yelling at the creature, it wouldn't come out of the bush. The Ace Trainer, currently a Petilil, rolled to essentially grow the bush upwards, revealing a mother Ratata protecting three babies. The players yelled at her, asking why she wasn't coming out......just as a Zubat swooped in to try to eat the babies. The mother and the PCs managed to fight it off, but in the process the mother was killed and one of the babies got poisoned.

They thought for a second, and suddenly, the Ace Trainer got excited. "Can I roll to see if I can find a berry in the trees nearby? If it doesn't cure poison, it could probably heal it while we carry it to town!"

I thought he was joking at first, but he was serious. I had him roll a spot check, he rolls a 19.

"You, uh, you find a berry." The Ace Trainer uses his leaves to cut up the berry into small slices, and the Ranger, who I thought would have enough sense not to do this, feeds one to the already poisoned baby Ratata. Okay, so they killed a dying baby, not tooooo terrible all things conside-

"Hey, these other two look hungry, why don't we feed them too!"

My jaw literally dropped, as the two of them fed the (Until now.) perfectly healthy babies the poisoned berry; needless to say, the previously poisoned Ratata died in a few seconds, and the other two followed shortly thereafter. As the last one died, the Ranger looked up sheepishly and told us that he had been considering eating a bit of it as well right before feeding the healthy babies.

TL;DR: My players completely forgot a hugely important detail, and summarily killed off an entire innocent family of Ratata by endangering them, and then feeding the survivors the previously warned against poison.

After one adventure, I gained a rule of "In Case Of Emergency, Break Glass" when it comes to the move Ice Beam. Here's how, it's a bit of a two-parter:

In a training montage session, I decided to wander into a meadow with a bunch of Chikorita, Bayleef and Meganium in it (it started off with just a Meganium out). I sent out my Houndour, Spot, to face off against the thing. Spot almost got KO'd by a darned plant, so it evolved to compensate. In the process of trying to retrieve a Pokéball that I used on the Meganium, Teo (my Jolteon), Sonya (my Spheal) and Excalibur (my Snivy at the time) were all sent out as I was being swarmed by Chikorita and Bayleef. Now, Sonya knows Ice Beam. Sonya one-shotted the other Meganium that went crazy roaring after battle. As Sonya began rolling around with Ice Ball, she accidentally...killed a Bayleef that was around. I almost ended up whited out after that one.

Later on, I ended up in a cave to try and find new things. I caught a Diglett, which angered one Dugtrio. Sonya ended up using Ice Beam on that Dugtrio. Dugtrio have awful defenses. Ice Beam ended up annihilating that Dugtrio. I was then scratched by another Dugtrio and got KO'd by a Scratch attack because I'm playing a frail little Capture Specialist.

When asked about it by our Snagger, he asked me "What happened?"
My response: "Dugtrio."
Him: "That's like saying 'knife.'"

For some reason that sounded like Counterstrike.

The party encounters a tropius, when the martial artist (who is secretly also a fashion designer) says, "...I don't think I could make a dress big enough."

It's high time I add to this.

First, there was this...time...I'm not proud of. Here's the situation. Breeder (me) has just defeated the Bug Type Gym Leader (Growlithe Starter. Growlithe is Best Pokemon.) The Martial Artist based off Riley from the Boondocks (Yes, also named Riley and played by my brother) lost to a gym trainer in the same gym that he had failed to beat. (He failed this like 6 times. 3 times he lost to a trainer, 3 times against the leader and his starter was frikkin Snorunt. He had to roll a 2 on Powder Snow to do 4x damage to a scyther. He had to roll a 2 twice, basically, to beat the gym. And his d20 rolled A LOT of natural 1's.)

It's noon-ish and myself and the Ace Trainer decide to go into the forest to train a bit. Well, we angered a Tangela which put us to sleep with Sleep Powder. Then....when we woke up we started fighting and a critical Absorb -killed- the Ace Trainer's starter pokemon Staryu. He was so mad he tried to kill the Tangela. He punched it, stabbed it, tried to beat it to death with the dead Staryu itself. Problem: trainer damage at the time was not much and he literally could not pierce its defenses with a full damage critical.

So he decides to burn it, and with my attachment to Growlithe as my starter I kinda understand the pain. Problem. Growlithe is the only pokemon in the party of 4 people who has a fire move. And he's in the Pokemon center recovering. I go there and try to use my excellent charisma to convince the nurse that we need the Growlithe to track down Riley. She remembers I brought a Poochyena in the center before (ah crap). I bluff again to convince her that the Poochyena is in fact with Riley and hasn't led him home so I'm -really- worried! She gives me a rental Zigzagoon.

So I go to the store looking for a lighter. I find matches. I buy them and take them to the now set up crucifix. A large thick log surrounded by tinder and a stone circle to prevent a forest fire has been set up by the Ace Trainer. I try to aid in lighting the matches but all my physical stats are at a -2. He successfully burns it. Luckily the fire gave a small circumstance bonus to Riley who had been lost in the forest for over 14 hours rolling natural 1s on his direction checks.

And that's how a tribe of angry Tangela rampaged through town led by an angry Tangrowth carrying a dead Tangela. And that's why my character is a little gun-shy of showing his face back in that town, especially since all the newer players want to get the badge there.

Another story. Through Celebi we were sent years into the past and our pokeballs no longer work due to not having a radiant power source. This causes us to have to feed our pokemon by hunting. We also had to keep track of what carnivores we have. So, we ended up one day hunting a couple Arcanine. After the battle my character, interested in finding where these Arcanine found the fire stones to evolve, used his many, many Tracker pokemon to locate their home. In the cave he finds.....4 Growlithe puppies. Uh oh.

Out of guilt I try to teach them to hunt. It takes a while for it to sink in but once I think it did I head back to camp. Lo and behold, a few minutes later, 3 Growlithe puppies are in camp looking at me. I think "Oh crap!" and try to get them to leave and follow their sibling that apparently was the smartest of the 4. DM rolls their "puppy eyes" check. Natural 20.

I was kinda left speechless given my starter is Growlithe and to be honest, the only thing that was going through my mind was this scene from Homestuck: http://mspaintadventures.com/?s=6&p=003831

Just replace the babies with Growlithe puppies and that was the scene I imagined. Probably was not best to have a Homestuck marathon just before game. Kinda demented my mind.

On our first session, our group's Researcher was attempting to throw their Pokeball into the midst of an ongiong battle. She ended up closing her eyes and throwing as hard as she could, hitting the wall of a PokeCenter with her Pokeball, and having it rebound, hit her in the head and knock her out for the rest of the encounter. When she woke up, she proceeded to slip on the Pokeball, twisting her ankle and knocking herself out again in the process.
