so, seeing you have written up the database in xml files, would you be fine with me updating to the latest data?
Wait a little bit on that please; I have a new edition of the XML files coming out that's a bit better formed.

I'm sorry for delays, school and work have slammed me ;_;
and thats why i ask ^_^

The new version will be released within the next 24 to 48 hours. The only thing holding me back is the fact that the data I'm utilizing has a large chunk of consistency problems (e.g.: Move names are invalid/misspelled, Pokémon have some weird problems with certain data values, etc.) Once those are taken care of, there will be a release. For now, I have a few bug testers going through each Pokémon (all 649 + extra forms) and flagging the ones that throw exceptions (due to invalid information stored inside the XML file, which came from the Textdex which in turn came from the Pokédex).

AlmightyK, at that time if you want you can start doing updates to the XML files. I will be getting around to writing an application that can easily read and write the XML file.

It's been a bit longer than 48 hours hasn't it? I'm terribly sorry about that. There are a total of 113 errors in the data that I would have never found if I hadn't done a quality control check.

It's taking me a bit longer due to the large variety of errors (for crying out loud, one of the Pokemon had their Intelligence spelt "Intel- ligence 4" so it got registered as an ability in my parser), so I do ask that you forgive me for that.

I am hoping to have this program pushed out ASAP, and I will be adding more features as I progress. Thank you all for your patience (for those that read this topic ^_^)

Alright, it's finally here! The Pokémon Character Sheet Manager has finally been updated with a huge graphical overhaul.

With this update comes a major size reduction (10mb versus 100mb+ for resources), a quicker response time, and a ton of resource additions (big thanks to veekun for this!) such as Pokémon cries and footprints.

The current version has those resources implemented, but not utilized. The next update will in fact include those in the main window.

Just as a side note, this program utilizes the 1.31 information. Any updates to the database would be great and very welcome.

You may download it here!

Just wanted to point out, folks, that the Evasions are not capping at +6.

Also, a question about the application: As far as the coding is concerned, are volunteered contributions being accepted or considered? Or is the coding strictly an in-house thing, whatever your private arrangements may be? Just curious, if you're open to some kind of community involvement, whatever the degree of it.

Thanks in advance, by the way.

1) Evasion capping will be fixed next version, my bad! I thought I had fixed that already, but it appears I removed the code. It has been applied!
2) As for volunteered contributions, I really don't have an SVN setup for this version. I'm more than open to having suggestions offered, but if you want to apply some code changes, we can discuss that privately unless this becomes a bigger project than I anticipate. I will release the source code for this program every now and then per major update. I will probably do a few patches and then push both a new version out and the source as well.

...should simplify number 2: I am open to giving away the code and making an SVN on, say, Codeplex or some other website so it can be viewed and edited in a safe manner.

(Seems I posted in the wrong thread, earlier today. Sorry about that.)

Guard Swap, Power Swap, Encore, and Defense Curl were all updated to reflect the 1.33 update.
Lunar Dance, and Healing Wish have been updated to reflect the 1.33 update (including the fact that they have typos in their descriptions which reference each other [Lunar Dance states what Healing Wish can target]). {Neither makes the User faint, which is something the games do.}
Nature Power has been corrected to reflect the 1.34 update.

The "Wall" and "Pushing" moves were not updated to reflect the 1.33 update.

As well: A stat would be less than 1, the system sets it at 1, but then requires 2 points to get it up to 2? (It should just need 1.)

The problem I seemed to have an oversight on is that I force it to be a minimum of 1, and if 0, the stat is 1. That is in compliance with the rules. I should fix that to a more...flexible rule than prior in the code. Thank you for the movetext1.34, as well as the stat problems!

It's been a bit since I last posted. Does anyone have any sort of feedback on this? I'm really curious if anyone has really utilized this program and had some fun with it.
