If it's meant for a solo campaign (this is for a solo campaign, correct?), then I guess being particularly powerful wouldn't be a bad thing, as going solo can be a severe disadvantage in this system. If this were to be used in a standard game, though, it would need to be completely redone.

True enough there, the original premise was a small-ish party in a new region searching for new pokemon. The geneticist would just be a way to gain a few "variations" on said pokemon. I would be willing to try this out in both a Solo and a Standard game just to see how powerful it actually is though. It'd make it easier to tell just how powerful the features are and what exactly needs to be changed.

My friend and I were discussing using his "geneticist" (we just give him random altered pokemon) as the villain for the game i will be running soon, but this class will work perfectly for that instead. It will be tested against a party of at least three, possibly six trainers.

Cool, I'm playtesting it in a solo game as well. Keep me posted.
