Sorry there's been no updates for a while, guys, but DAMN if there's not a lot of data to compile. I do NOT envy you, E. Knight, when you had to do this. Not ONE bit. D:

Just found this, was wondering about abilities then checked your to-do list. :)

Nice little program. One suggestion is the move description box be a smidge bigger maybe, for two lines instead of one.

A good GM tool might be a capture rate program. Toss in pokemon, current health and any status effects, then it tells you what the capture rate is. Would be handy.

Is there any way to add a feature for Pokemon that have been hatched by a Breeder and have had their Base Stats altered by Natural Edge/Natural Edge +?

Also, another thing I noticed is that SpdEvasion goes up every 5 points instead of every 10 points like it says in the Player's Handbook.

Bwah, sorry again, everyone, school's started up again and a few other things have kept me from adding much to this... But anyway...
  • Underp'd the colouring of the text with the natures ( Seriously messed that up. D: )
  • Rearranging the sheet a little since there were space issues.
  • Removing the SWITCH POKEMON and NEW POKEMON to one button ( ORGANIZE PARTY ). Also there's a DELETE POKEMON button in there. Just in case you add a few too many SUBSTITUTES.
  • Still working on tools in which you can add in your own items, abilities, Pokemon, etc. etc. (Not going too well though...)

I'll give you another release when it's not ALL OVER THE PLACE and it WORKS. D:

Actually that was changed as well, the move description box, I'd to elongate the whole window and just am tweaking the look of it right now. It was made all messy! D:
Capture rate program, yeah that'd be simple enough. I'll just note that down... Gonna release the GM tools as one big thing, instead of lots of little programs that'll be all over the place and you spend twenty minutes looking for them among the oodles of files and aaaaaah. D:

Uhm, now that I think about it, there isn't... Meant to get around to that after I went over the breeder feats but I sorta forgot. D:
They're fixed at birth, aye? Well hmmm... Could rework the NEW POKEMON thing to include that.
And really? I thought it was 5 for the lot. Must have missed that note in the handbook. I'll include it in.

Just thought I'd comment to say: I really love this program! It makes everything so neat and tidy! Thanks for doing this, and keep it up!

The only bug I've encountered so far is a weird one I haven't been able to recreate, but for some reason when I clicked back to another Pokemon after working on one, it kept changing the species around to random Pokemon (in each slot) while keeping my moves and stat points in place. Closing and then re-opening the program fixed this, and brought up the original, correct species, along with all my other saved data. Not sure if that helps at all, but I thought I would mention it at the very least! Like I said, haven't been able to recreate it since.

Adding to the Base Stat altering stuff, Stat Ace is another class that would affect this. 1/2 of your character's Strength Modifier is added to Base Stat of your class's choice, meaning it could change as your character levels up. Since your calculator currently doesn't mind that I'm not following Base Stats, an easy workaround I've used is just upping a few points in the "Vitamin" column to reflect the Base Stat change. I just let my GM know what it was for and it works just fine!

Edit: Reopened the sheet this morning and noticed that the "Vitamin" points I had put in were gone! Re-inputted the points, closed the program, re-opened it again and sure enough it keeps happening. Keeping an eye out for any more! *salutes*

Edit #2: It looks like the same thing happens with EXP, as well. In addition, if I type an amount of EXP into the box, it keeps carrying that same amount over to every other Pokemon I click on. Looking at your "to do list," I thought I'd comment on the Leveling Up comment you posted, as well. I'd like to keep both the numbered level slider, but also have the amount of EXP you type into the box change the level based on the amounts of EXP needed to level up in the Handbook, personally. That way, I won't have to break out the Handbook every time to look up what level my EXP now makes my Pokemon. One last suggestion I just thought of was (instead of making the window/program itself larger) making more "pages" to add Moves (both natural and TM) to. A few Pokemon in my roster learn a lot of moves, and I had to dip into the "TM" section just to add more Natural Moves! I hope I'm not sounding nitpicky... just trying to help and provide feedback! ^^;

I know that error, it was brought up by one of the people in our group. I think it came into being after I put in the option to have them listed by name instead of National Dex #.
The rest, well, they're bugs, and you've found them, so I should thank you instead of say NO DON'T TELL ME WHAT'S WRONG IT'S FINE AS IT IS... Because, well, it isn't. There's flaws up to the nines, and I'm gonna have to delay the next release a little bit to implement that, because I've some clue how to do it but it's got a lot of scope to go wrong in. :P (I thought that there was a limit of up to 7 moves because of EK's sheet, so went with that. XD)

Also I've made no progress whatsoever since the last post because RL decided to intrude upon my time, as well as a few other things... So, sorry, folks!

Bwah, a month since I last updated this and I've not really done much except bugfixing. Sorry, folks, college is being a bit of a bother. There's actually been negative progress with the extra data, and it's just annoying now, since Windows was so nice and decided to corrupt a great chunk of my data because, well, apparently it doesn't warn you that it's going to restart to install updates. Stupid thing. Anyway, here y'all go. Hope it was worth the wait, fixed a few bugs and things should work now, but sadly I've not got much else done. Also I'm going to try to make it a bit more efficient, I bet you all notice that it takes a LITTLE while to start up at the start... Just have no plan of attack as of right now.

  • Sheet no longer scrambles Pokémon as you change them
  • Sheet should save/load party data properly (Vitamin boosts & EXP)
  • Added a DELETE button so you can remove those annoying Pokemon that you accidentally added.
  • Removed the distinction between TM/HM moves, just for simplicity
  • Rearranged the labels on movement stats so that they actually display right. (No more flying Rhyhorns!)

Not sure if it's just me, but when I DL'd the new version, it had a new team of mons loaded and my old ones were gone. Also, when I try adding to my mon's stats, it doesn't increase their total.

Ah, bugger. I forgot to remove the party_data file I was using to test... PEOPLE, DON'T OVERWRITE YOUR PARTY_DATA. And how do you mean, "doesn't increase their total"?

In the stats tab, let's say I have a level 10 Weedle. Its base stats are 4/4/3/2/2/5. However, when I click in the Extra Points column to add to a stat, the Final column doesn't change. It also doesn't change anything when I try to add to the base stats via the Vitamins column, and the Combat Stage column also does not change the Final column like it did in the previous release.
