Pokemon Stat Sheet~
Version 1.1.2

Hey all, this is basically my first time posting something substantial, and I know people are more used to Elemental Knight's Excel spreadsheet, but personally, I find it a little bit slow... Well, that and the fact that we use it in our group, and we seem to spend more time fiddling with our Pokemon's stats and looking up moves than much else... Perhaps we're doing it wrong, or something. I dunno, I'm new to tabletops. So major thanks to EK for it in the first place, I wouldn't have even bothered with it if I hadn't had a wee nosey through the sheet itself to see how it ticked, and saw all the nicely arranged data.

So anyway... now I'm trying to make this thing to work through that faster... Well, I'm also working through the other stuff in the sheet too, I've got about... What, 1/2 the Trainer feats in the PDF down in a format that I'm using for the stuff, generally... Regardless, that's what I have so far... Well, all disabled, really.. It's all for show at the moment, because I'm reworking the coding behind all the displaying.

Hopefully it's up to scratch, and also, feel free to toss in any ideas! I mean, I'm doing this for this RPG, so it'd make sense to add in things that you people would want!

Changelog

To-do list!

VERSION 1.0(.1) IS NOW RELEASED.

Changes from last release :

  • Things SAVE now, so it's actually useful, somewhat!

    • Renaming works
    • Species works
    • Stats work : Base, Vitamins, Priorities, Level-up points, Combat stages, and Final stats.
    • Moves are re-enabled, but movelists aren't. So you've to use other means to get the movelists...

  • Everything that was disabled is now re-enabled.
  • Herpderp'd the combat stage calculation before. Less derp'd now. SHOULD WORK.

It looks good! I'll keep a couple of eyes on it :)

Suggestion: It would be better if the pokemon are sorted by name instead of national dex number, it's easier to search. Or maybe give the two options.
Bug report (because I didn't see it in your logs): the contest effect of the moves is missing

This is great. I'm going to keep an eye on this.

First thing I noticed was that the point counter is off after level 50. It says max points at level 100 is 100, but max points at level 100 is 175.

Version 1.0.5~
Just dealing with the things that have been said, really!

  • Now can sort by name, or national dex ID. Also auto-complete suggests names if you type them into the box.
  • "Capabilities" are under "Innate Abilities" in the "Abilities" tab
More derps fixed!

  • Contest Effect of moves now show.
  • Missed the note in extra points after level 50 and 75. Fixed now.
  • "Restore HP" button now works. Whoops!
And now working on getting more than six Pokemon per party. This is bloody crucial, but bloody awkward! (Hence why it's just a minor update)

Sorry for the double-post, but I've just finished up with Version 1.1!

VERY IMPORTANT UPDATE.

  • Can now add new Pokémon to your party!
  • Can switch your team around with a few clicks, AND can swap from storage to your team!
  • Saves sheet when you add/switch a Pokémon
  • "Restore HP" button now PROPERLY works! Derp!
  • Fixed an error with the names of the Pokémon at the end of the Pokédex

Yeah. Before it was pretty unusable with any games that had any decent amount of time put into them whatsoever... Since there was a six-Pokemon limit, no facility to switch out any new ones. But now I hope it's a great deal more useful... Because there's not that limitation. (Well there is, but I think your computer would give out to you long before you reached 4 billion Pokemon...)

Cool Cool!!
Some things I've found:
Bug Report: you have 1 stat point extra because at level 1, you don't get a stat point. A level 5, you get 4 (levels 2,3,4,5)
Bug Report 2: the STAB display isn't working
Bug Report 3: The sprite of Gardevoir is Kirlia, not Gardevoir :O

Suggestion: At the stats display, color the Raise (blue) and Lower (red) stat as in the games

Keep working, It's very useful! :D

Okay, I've added in ferdinando's little fixes and suggestions, as well as fixing a horrid bug that happened if you put in a party member with no name. So here's Version 1.1.2 for you! I'm slowly making my way through the trainer classes in the PDF's, too. I now have all the feats for the Ace Trainer, Breeder and Capture Specialist combined... I totally underestimated it! But I'm gonna press on, it's good for when I've to take a break from programming.

Changes since earlier:

  • Now generates an empty party datafile, instead of crashing, if there is no data file.
  • Now saves before you switch your team, or add a new pokemon. Just in case you delete the files for some reason. :|
  • Fixed a nasty error where it didn't save right and crashed if you made a new Pokémon.
  • Dustox is now in the right place, which set right the pokemon between Cascoon and Surskit. (It's happened with Keldeo before, and with a few others that I caught. Thanks, ferdinando)
  • STAB now displays. (Hopefully correctly)
  • Stat points now shifted by -1, so that they work right.
  • Stat increases now have their name coloured blue. Stat decreases are red-coloured.

Was trying out this sheet, and realized that the Rhyhorn I put in had a Sky Speed. I don't know if this is a mistake on any other Pokemon, I just thought I'd bring it up so you can fix it.

Ah, it was just my mistake. I had the labels attached wrongly. They'll be fixed in the next version.
They should go Overland, Sky, Surface, Jump, Burrow, Underwater, Power, Intelligence. And they display like that. I just have the wrong labels before them. Derp~
I saw a Charizard with 9 Surface speed and 0 Sky speed, too... NONSENSE!

Also gonna go with Bulbapedia for the movelists and stuff, unless there's any objections, or anything you might want to add to it~?
