Eesh! Nobody's made this selection process easy at all. Keep your eyes on this space - I should hopefully have made my decisions in about a half hour.

Alright! Time to the announcement. Thanks very much to everyone who applied, there was a metric ton of great submissions that made it exceptionally difficult for me to ultimately pick my final four, so everybody should feel pretty good that their submission at least caused me a decision-based dilemma as a result of their outstanding quality. ;)

So! The players chosen are as follows:

Luxatrum, playing as Cathryn Ellwood with her Espeon, Soliel.
Merc, playing as Owen Bourne with his Rilou, Kiyo.
Tortles, playing as Cobalt 'Coby' Gaines with his as-of-yet nameless Emolga.
Tsumeken, playing as Chris Valentine with her Venonat, Veena.

My sincerest apologies to the players who ultimately weren't selected - as I mentioned before, this was an insanely difficult decision and I had to use all sorts of tie-breakers to reach my concluded list of participants.

For the players who were selected - I'm missing play method preferences from some of you, so if I could get each one of you to confirm if you'd prefer IRC or PbP, and then we'll organise when we're getting started.

Like I said, PbP is preferred, if we do IRC I'm going to need some coaching on how. Other than that, congratulations to my fellow players, and apologies to those who didn't. Hope I get to play with all of you some point down the line.

I know I've already thrown in my two cents, but I honestly think IRC is the way to go. I've done a little PbP stuff in the past, and while yes it is nice in theory, being that you can basically play a session all week long in little snippets, you never actually get anything done unless everyone is playing at the same time. This can be even worse for a GM. Especially if the players ask a lot of questions in gameplay.

IRC on the other hand is more like a traditional tabletop experience, and is pretty easy to understand after using it. In Merc's case you just need to download a client, type in our server and choose our channel. Then you're all set.

I'd be willing to do IRC or PBP, I agree with Lux that pbp can sometimes drag on for a ong time, if we get a time that everyonese fine with like once or twice a week from X:00 to X:00 I'd prbly be fine with it. I'm (GMT -5 btw)

So it looks like the group consists of what will be a breeder, a capture specialist, and an ace trainer (I haven't seen Tortles' sheets).
