I checked out the site. RPOl is not that good a site. Sorry, it's clunky, ineffective, and poorly organized.

Right now we're experimenting with RP sites. Can you can recommend a different site?

I've never done a play by post before. I've only done tabletop rpgs but still haven't started playing PTA yet.
We may be letting another player or two in down the line. But not yet.

Myth Weavers

It's format is similar to this site, a forum, there are more tools, and when you set up a forum for a game you can add a sub-forum for people to post their character sheets in, to keep DM notes in, etc. It's also a bit smoother to navigate around and chose what to follow on purpose.

Having played on both, I believe rpol has it's good points. Myth-Weavers was made as a PbP site from the ground up, while rpol was originally designed for freeform, so Myth Weavers is better for this kind of thing, but I don't dismiss Rpol out of hand. The main advantage I see is having multiple characters, the posts being clearly defined as seperate characters. Useful in Arena settings and for making NPC's.

For me, the reason I'm not automatically converting is the color scheme.

RPOL has a nice black and white color scheme... which I have to invert in order to see anything, but still. White-on-black.

The front page of Myth Weavers has contrasting color schemes for the top and bottom, making me have to invert colors just to read the whole darn thing.

I'll make a sample game on there just so I don't dismiss it as being blind-unfriendly, but...

To be fair, you can change rpol's color scheme to whatever they have in the options. I have mine a nice forest green color.
