You guys don't have to share your characters with one another if you don't want... >.>;; That's why I said PM them to me. It doesn't matter, I suppose. You're all mature and know not to metagame. I WILL be paying attention to people who do meta. *shakes his fist*

Anywho, Forte, Pros, both accepted. Looking like Ramiel will also be joining. Synthesse, chances are we won't play till after the 21st, or maybe just a short little intro session, so I welcome you to join. Once I get 5 confirms, I'll probably close things off. I MIGHT take a sixth. Anyway, yeah, I have one more thing to share with everyone that people should know:

Island Orbit Speeds:
Lagerros's islands move at a fairly erratic pace, as noted in my original hook. The fastest could make a full circuit around the continent close to the center in just about six months, and it might take the slower islands several years to make that same journey. The pace varies both with the island and with the distance from the center, but the scale is measured in months, technically. Generally, it has been calculated, the islands move according to size, with larger islands moving at much slower rates than smaller islands, however this is not universally true, and some islands may break this trend.

Ice Wall:
As for the ice wall, it does not surround Lagerros. It exists solely on the southern edge of the region, placing the region far to the south so far as the regional globe is concerned. Imagine that this place is a bizarre land located just off the edge of the southern ice cap but has a climate not unlike that of a land near the equator. The trick regarding travel in this area is that, and I need to mention this, electronics are not always reliable without special containment designed in the local area. Often times, smaller devices recieve interference that causes them not to function either properly or at all. Airplanes not only cost a lot such that they can fly in these conditions, but the pilots for such travel are few and far between, since the danger of the plane failing in midflight is a possibility. Boats tend to be the most common form of transportation, since it is much cheaper and the issue of moving islands is easier to correct for than interference with electronics.

Volcanoes:
Finally, volcanic islands do exist. They have been known to erupt on the larger islands. Also, yes, there exists a singular large mountain with smaller mountains surrounding it at the center of the region.

I forgot to mention. I need times that people can play when they submit interest. I have to take into account a lot of factors in deciding when we play, so please PM that to me soon. I'm available on most weekdays after 4 PM EST, and so far it's looking like Tuesday is the best bet, though other days may work. I prefer weekday afternoons and weekends during the day, but as said before, this depends on my players.

I was wondering, I would like to be a capture specialist, but the requirements need a poke ball toolbox, should I just be a pokemon trainer until the story leads us to a town where they are for sell? Or could I start with it by default?

Just explain that you got it somehow previously in your history, purchased it a long time ago, were given one, stole it, etc. It's fine to start as a Capture Specialist.

Just to state here, and to double post again, if I don't get any request to reserve a spot to play from Synthesse or TacomenX or whoever, I will go ahead and say we're going to try and hold a first session on Tuesday, January 18th (which, coincidentally, is the day before my birthday :D) at 5 PM EST, roughly, lasting till 8 PM EST. My current players are:

ForteZanzo playing "Mick" with his Zuruggu, "Ramon"
Prospector playing "Cael Raptor" with his Gastly, "Wisp"
Ramiel playing "(Name to be decided)" with his Growlithe, "(Name to be decided)"

Any other players wishing to join should let me know prior to this game so that things can be changed appropriately. Of course, if the 18th conflicts with one of my players currently, feel free to let me know. Anyway, it's 4 AM now, so I'm going to curl up under my blankets and sleep.

Here is my Character, John Jones and his Shimama,( or Blitzle or what ever the English name is) Fast Thunder.
Info:
He comes from a region far away, made up mostly of plains. He grew up with a people native to the plains (based off Plain Native Americans and Aborigines). When he reached 18 he decided to see the world before settling down, so he signed up to help a Professor catalogue Pokémon.
He wears a Black Vest, covered in pockets, dark blue Jeans, and Black Military Surplus boots. He carries with him a large Machete and a Ceremonial Set of Bolas. (I plan to take them both as Feats eventually.)
If you need anything else for the character just say so.

I'm closing all registration here as of now, unless you talk to me personally, which I have had a couple of people do, but I've got now 5 people for this campaign, so I think that should be enough. We have:

ForteZanzo playing "Mick" with his Zuruggu, "Ramon"
Prospector playing "Cael Raptor" with his Gastly, "Wisp"
Ramiel playing "(Name to be decided)" with his Growlithe, "(Name to be decided)"
Drewski playing "John Jones" with his Shimama, "Fast Thunder"
(Reserved Spot) playing "Hikaru" with his Pichu, "(Unnamed as of yet)"

And yours truly, playing... well, nearly everyone else. See you Tuesday, at 5:00 PM EST, on #Lagerros on the sup/tg/ IRC server.

Name: Edmund Pine
Gender: Male
Age: 12
Physical Description: Short and somewhat lanky, Edmund wears a bright blue tropical shirt and khaki cargo shorts. He has short, unkempt brown hair and brown eyes. He carries a back pack, a digital camera, a pokedex, and his laptop wherever he goes.

Background/History: Hailing from a small, privately owned estate off of Route 15 in Kanto, Edmund lived a sheltered life. Youngest son out of six, he was always the baby of the family. He wasn't allowed to play with his older siblings and their pokemon, as they played too rough, so he had to sit inside with his parents. Not allowed to play video games or watch television by his mother (and actively treated with scorn my his absentee father), the young boy sat in the floor and read. He read stories of great pokemon trainers and epic battles of old, dreaming every night of adventure and exploring the world. As he aged, he watched his brothers and sisters leave on their own adventures, their own quests to be the stuff of his stories. He envied them more than anything in the world. He would go to the Safari zone just to watch the native Pokemon go about their daily lives. Finally, on his twelfth birthday, his parents finally caved in and let him do what his brothers and sisters had done years before, explore the world of Pokemon.
