So the birds Articuno, Zapdos, and Moltres I had never heard any definitive evidence to what they represent, maybe I had previously missed something. But looking at it now it all makes sense.... Ice = Cold, Fire = Heat, and Electricity = Energy... The answer was in the second movie, if they fight they create an ultimate storm that wipes out the world and they can only be stopped by the Pokemon equivalent of the weather adjusting sea currents.... THEY ARE THE THREE MAJOR COMPONENTS OF STORMS IN GENERAL!!!! Hot and cold fronts and energy within the atmosphere... They aren't seasons or anything like that, just the physical embodiment of pieces of storms. |

I mean, given that the three of them summon the bird who represents storms... and Professor Oak literally explains it in the movies... If you never got the release of Green (ie., everyone outside of Japan), they could also represent each of the Generation 1 Games. |

I'm pissed now, I've been trying for 20 minutes to post that. Moltres - warm fronts Articuno - cold fronts Zapdos - thunderstorms Lugia - hurricanes I actually had to get on my phone for this one. I was surprised to found out that Ho-Oh is Japanese for phoenix. |
