One of the players in my game is obsessed with Mega Evolutions and has asked me if I mind making an appropriately themed class (similar to Stat or Type Ace) for her. I find it an interesting angle for a class and wouldn't mind some help both coming up with features and making sure the ones I come up with seem balanced compared to other classes.

Possible MA Skills: Occult Education, Tech Education, Pokemon Education, Focus, Command

Mega Ace (Credit to ProudyC)
Prerequisites: Ace Trainer, One of Adept Occult/Tech/Pokemon Education, One of Adept Focus/Command, 1 Pokemon with a Mega Evolution
Prerequisites: One of Adept Occult/Tech/Pokemon Education, One of Adept Focus/Command, 3 Pokemon with Mega Evolutions
Target: Your Pokemon with a Mega Evolution
Effect: Lower the stat points given to a Mega by 2 points from any stat you choose, then add 3 points to any other stats in any way you see fit. May only target a Pokemon once.

Versatile Wardrobe Reskin (Name TBD)
PreRequisites: MA
Target: Your Pokemon with at least 1 Tutor Point Remaining
Effect: The target loses 1 Tutor Point and then becomes chic. Chic Pokémon gain an extra Held Item slot with which they can carry a Mega Stone. However, the item in this slot has no effect and is not treated as equipped. As a Swift Action on their turn, Chic Pokémon may swap a currently active Held Item with an item stored in these slots. Chic Pokémon may not carry multiple items of the same type or with repeated effects.

Mega Embodiment (Stat Embodiment Reskin)
PreRequisites: A MA skill at Expert
1 AP – Swift Action, Priority (Limited)
Target: Your Pokemon with a Mega Evolution
Effect: Your Pokemon gains the ability associated with their Mega Evolution until the end of the Scene. Switching does not cause this effect to end. (Maybe only 1 Pokemon at a time?)

Well that's new (name WIP)
Prerequisites: NonGeneral Education at Expert
Special - Extended Action
Target: Your Pokemon without a Mega Evolution
Effect: Your Pokemon gains access to a Mega Evolution created using the template on page 206 and in consultation with your GM. You may activate this feature a number of times equal to the higher of half your Focus/Command rank

Mega Overload
Prerequisites: Master Focus or Command, Expert NonGeneral Education
Daily x2 - Free Action
Effect: For the rest of the Scene your Mega Ring can support an additional Mega Evolution. May only be activated once per Scene.

Feature Ideas/Effects (WIP)
End a Mega Evolution (for a conscious willing Pokemon) (Entry level feature?)
Suppress an Opponents Mega Evolution

Thoughts on the two (reskinned) features or any of the proposed effects? I've been trying to take inspiration for restrictions/requirements from other classes such as Stat/Type Ace. If you have any ideas I'd be happy to hear them, thanks.

Here's an easy one:

Mega Ace
Prerequisites: It's up to you, since I'm proposing this as their first Class Feature, so this should be whatever it takes to get into the class.
Target: Self and your Pokemon with a Mega Evolution
Effect: Your Mega Ring can support up to (Class Skill / 2) Mega Evolutions per scene instead of the usual one.

I wouldn't allow multiple levels till its final feature. It's meant to be linking both Pokemon and players hearts. And even then I would only allow two or it'll be too painful to uphold.

Mega Ace
Prerequisites: Something like Pokemon Education at Expert
Target: Your Pokemon with a Mega Evolution
Effect: Lower the stat points given to a Mega by 2 points from any stat you choose, then add 3 points to any other stats in any way you see fit. May only target a Pokemon once.

This would be great for Pokemon like Mega Gardevoir who gain attack that it never uses. and adding an extra point for the emphasis on the Mega Ace.

Whether it's the first feature or the last, you gotta let 'em have more than one Mega Pokemon. That's the only thing that seems "essential" to the class, in my opinion, but that's just me.
Here's another:

Mega Orders
Prerequisites: Mega Ace, Expert Pokemon Education
Static
Effect: You gain the Power Overwhelming and Mega Tactical Maneuver orders.

Power Overwhelming [Orders] [Stratagem]
Bind 2 AP - Standard Action
Target: Your Mega Pokemon
Effect: All of the stat boosts your Pokemon has gained through Mega Evolution are doubled. For example, Mega Gardevoir would go from +2 ATK/+4 SPATK/+2 SPDEF/+2 SPEED to +4 ATK/+8 SPATK/+4 SPDEF/+4 SPEED

Mega Tactical Maneuver [Orders]
Scene x2 - Standard Action
Target: Your Mega Pokemon
Effect: For one turn, your pokemon may gain an ability from its ability list that it does not already know. If your pokemon already knows all of its abilities (such as Mega Scizor, Mega Abomasnow, Mega Sharpedo, Mega Medicham, Mega Audino, Mega Tyranitar, Mega Lati@s and Mega Rayquaza) then it instead gains +15 DR or +15 damage.

Feature Ideas/Effects (WIP)
Create a Mega Form for a Pokemon that doesn't have one (Probably limited to 2/Lifetime or something similar)
Bwahaha! My dreams of a Mega Chandelure and Mega Togekiss will finally come true!

I take no stance on to the balance of features, but I should point out that for the prerequisites for the class:

A) You need to take Ace Trainer. No other class has this requirement. Stat Ace and Style Expert are easier to get into if you have Ace Trainer and Coordinator respectively, but there is no class in the game that forces you to take another class. That means that, if you want this class, you're effectively taking up half of your class slots.

B)With the prerequisites of Adept/Expert, it means that there is literally no need for you to have the skill prerequisites for your first two features. You already have two Mega Ace Skills at Adept, and already have a Mega Ace Skill at Expert.

Thanks for the feedback, will be adjusting the pre-reqs for the first two features.

Regarding the Ace Trainer req, I was trying to emulate the Stat Ace reqs but managed to forget the second option (which I incorrectly thought also required Ace Trainer). Will be editing those momentarily to match Stat Ace's more closely

Edit/Update: Changed the skill reqs to both be Adept and removed the unnecessary pre-req for Versatile Wardrobe
