So uh... What's the protocol for Spambots?; I mean, I'm not the only one noticiing them right?

That's... Literally all we can do outside of Mod intervention. Reporting them gets them on the radar faster, so it's encouraged.

It's true!

When you report a spambot's post, I get a little ping at the top of every page - so whenever I'm on the forums, I (or any other mod/admin) will see it. And from that ping, it's very easy to click through, see the offending post, and delete it.

As for the accounts themselves, I rarely ban them - most spam accounts don't get re-used, and banning an individual account does nothing to stop a spammer. I will typically check the account's IP, and see if there're other spambot accounts from that IP or related ones - and if there are, I can institute a blanket ban on the IP range, to try and prevent further spambots.
