This thread may contain: custom regional types, fakemon, and visual aids. The game is themed around a deep-sea setting, so expect a lot of water types!
VARIANTS
Spoiler: click to toggle Abyssal CorsolaSpoiler: click to toggle Physical Description: A large, round, orange-pink mass with a simple pair of unblinking eyes. If you look at one from the top, you'll see a circular opening that leads into an intricate system of capillary tunnels, enmeshed within the flesh. Pokedex Entry: Their simple, multicellular anatomy makes them effectively immortal. The only way to have them breed is to chop one into pieces. The seperate pieces will soon regenerate into individual Abyssal Corsola.
The following are excerpts from SPECIES OF THE ARCTIC BENTHOS: A Guide to Southern Deep Sea Pokemon (WIP) by Professor Andrea Custodia
...Abyssal Corsola cannot move through physical action, and would be otherwise sessile if not for their Telekinesis (Psychic typing confirmed during dive 06, add footnote). They can propel themselves through the water through force of mind, but will rarely do so unless sufficiently disturbed...
...they propagate through fragment regeneration. If you want to 'breed' (propagate?) yours, simply cut off a significant portion (footnote to recommended sizes) . Both pieces will soon regenerate into two individual pokemon. Note that the pokemon may not approve if the propagation is imposed on it without warning...
...the pokemon's capacity for multicellular growth is not affected by age. Rather, they establish a crude pecking order through psychic and sonic duels (may rephrase, "duel" sounds informal) Frequent victors are given more space, which lets them spread out and grow into the largest specimens...
STATS [Redacted for the moment, until my players catch or look further into one. They lurk these forums too!]
Abyssal DwebbleSpoiler: click to toggle Physical Description: Similar in form to it's terrestrial variant, but of translucent white coloration. Sturdy exoskeleton despite fragile appearance. Eye stalks are dark-atrophied, and fine, hairlike setae grow thick on the pokemon's ventral side. Pokedex Entry: It has taken to using the black, rocky minerals of the deep-sea floor for its shell. The pungent, hair-like growths on its underside serve an unknown purpose. [Further Fluff Under Construction!] STATS Spoiler: click to toggle Bug/Dark

Benthic GrimerSpoiler: click to toggle Physical Description:These marine Grimer variants bear only the vaguest resemblance to their terrestrial cousins. They are made largely of translucent green slime, growing around a central, bonelike ring. There are no traces of eyes or an apparent buccal cavity. It can extend six long tentacles out from the slime within the bone ring, entrapping organic particulates and anything unfortunate enough to swim through them. Pokedex Entry: This pokemon will submerge itself in sediment, leaving only the bone ring and entrapping tentacles visible. This can make it somewhat resemble a potted plant. In some areas, many Benthic Grimer will settle next to each other. The advantage of forming these deadly, undersea tentacle forests is still not understood.
[Fluff Under Construction!]
[Stats Under Construction!] Diadem CloysterSpoiler: click to toggle Physical Description: A fragile looking Cloyster, lacking the lacking the large second shell layer. In place, the pokemon has embedded sharp spikes into what's left of its shell. The remaining shell is translucent, and the pokemon's eyes have glazed over from years in the dark. Pokedex Entry: The spines it has embedded into its shell serve as effective if temporary protection. It somehow retains a memory of what it has used for spines. If any break off, it can re-grow exceptionally detailed ice-copies. USER: A. Custodia Expedition Date: 1M1W2D Log #227
--One of Mikael's men caught a Cloyster today, down in the abyss. Unlike anything I've ever seen. It's the only recorded incidence of a Shellder line at this depth. Type mutated, monstrous appearance, unnecessary, atrophied eyes: It's the only one we've ever spotted in the month we've been down here. Reminder to forward a note to Offshore: hopefully this will make them reconsider their position on the abyss.--
