So one of the fun things of PTU is the interesting methods of teamwork that can happen. The core rulebook mentions a few (like Frost Breath on someone with Anger Point), but I want to see if anyone has had any interesting things happen in their games, or maybe thought up a strategy while flipping through the Pokedex. It could be a good source of inspiration for GMs and players alike. As one very simple (pun intended) example, using Simple Beam on a Slaking to remove Truant. |

I've seen someone in a game I'm in run a Dancer with a Bidoof, then use the feat that allows them to tutor Dancer moves. So that's Dancer + Simple shenanigans. We've since discussed an even bigger idea - Dancer + Simple Beam, so you can give the dancer themselves doubled boosts. |

Taking that idea one step further, with Contrary mon, Dancer can use negative CS dances to boost their own mon/allies. Simple beam can result in +4CS with one turn with a bit of coordination. |

Dancer can already do that with Passing Waltz, but that does allow the dancer to boost allies without spending AP. It's not so much of a combo, but Rest's downside can be removed by having an adjacent ally use their standard action to wake them up. An ally with Aromatherapy or Heal Bell can also do this while removing status conditions from other allies with proper positioning. |

Discharge is great when you make it at-will and get all your allies with Volt Absorb, Lightningrod, and Motor Drive. For that matter, how about similar setups like Lava Plume with Flash Fire or Surf with Water Absorb? |

You can get even more mileage with Ace Trainer's Scattershot Signature Technique. |

In one of my group's old campaigns we were playing as members of Team Rocket and one of our party members had a Seedot that knew Bide. Our general process was to have it use Bide, have our trainers and 'mon gang up on it and beat the crap out of it and keep healing it before it fainted, then chuck it at the enemy as effectively a nuke. Fun times. |

I'm writing that one down. Could be a nasty surprise for my players :3 |

A lot of people have brought up boosting Combat Stages with Simple, and that's a good one. I'd like to mention Acupressure and Psych Up as fun additions to that combo though. Not tabletop specific, but I always liked skill-swapping Claydol's Levitate onto a Water Absorb Lapras and spamming Surf and Earthquake. Also, weather would probably require some coordination for a team to make the most of. |

It's harder to do in the tabletop, because Skill Swap chooses the Target's Ability at Random. But, also, it's a lot less necessary, because good positioning can help mitigate friendly fire. |
