Couple of PCs are planing on having Homebrew Mega Evos, but I can't decide on the new abilities. Mega Serperior changes its to a Dragon/Grass Pokemon and Mega Weezing changes to a Poison/Dark Pokemon. Was thinking on giving Weezing Poison Point, but i can't decide what ability should i give to Mega Serperior. Any ideas and suggestion you guys can come up with are much appreciated. |

Mega Serperior grows a bunch of heads and gains Cluster Mind, plus Draco Meteor and some other move. Hydras are cool, right? |

The basic idea was for it to turn into a serpent like dragon, much like chinese dragons, so I don't know if cluster mind would fit. Windveiled could work, but i think it might be too strong, considering that serperior's abilities are strong alread |

Clearly its ability should be Simple ;) In all seriousness, Pride is always an option that isn't too strong but it certainly fits Serperior well in general. The actual effects of the ability can be handy as well. Serene Grace is also a modest pick that fits the flavor very well. Edited by Muted_ReDead, Feb 11 2017, 07:15 PM.

Oh, you didn't mention what kind of dragon it was turning into. Windveiled wouldn't be that OP - consider that it gains three weaknesses when it becomes Grass/Dragon, one of which brings a critical weakness to Ice, and all it really gets out of it is the removal of its Fire weakness. If you go with Windveiled, it would still have 5 weaknesses and 4 resistances. |

I vaguely recall somebody making a rom hack game where a Mega Sceptile got access to Contrary. Same principle applies here, except you give it access to Leaf Storm and Draco Meteor. On second thought, don't do that. Might be something for a scary boss fight, but that's not the kinda power you should put in a PC's hands. |

You're thinking of Blaze Black/Volt White 2. And you could actually teach Serperior Leaf Storm & Draco Meteor, it's hilarious. |

Careful with a poison/dark Weezing. Remember it has levitate, so it would effectively have no weaknesses, and a couple of immunities. Also Weezing is a defensive pokemon that is immune to the poison status, so it might grid the game down a bit. keep in mind that not all megas gain types. |

Poison/Dark also has a whopping 4 resistances, none of which are super-resistant. Cut Weezing a break, man, I'd be more worried about a Poison/Steel typing. |

If you're going with a Chinese Dragon for Serperior, you could play up the 's status of Grace and Prosperity, perhaps granting it Serene Grace. dependant on the Weezing's art, I might actually suggest Cluster Mind if the other heads are actually used to some capacity. imagine it. once it transforms it begins firing Flamethrowers from the spare heads while the base head fires sludge waves. A trick I might suggest is, consider what the Mega is inspired by, and if there's a pokemon who follows that concept, like multiple heads, or regal presence, take inspiration from their movelist or ability list.
