Capture Specialist / GM

So I want to be a special cookie for my friend's game and want to play an exorcist Capture Specialist, i looked around a bit in Blessed and the Damned for a bit and i can't quite figure out which Patron to take if that's necessary. We're not straying too far from the core book vanilla campaign.

Now, I wanted the exorcist mechanic to work like the Snagger kid from Pokemon XD: Gale of Darkness, where I capture "Shadow Pokemon" and purify their hearts and possibly release them into the wild (Maybe for more experience.)

I'm open to suggestions and again this game isn't going to be a Blessed and the Damned base.

Milestones and experience?
Special features or ablities to define the exorcist?

My character is kinda modeled after Allen Walker from D. Grey Man, if that paints a better picture for anyone.
I just want my character like that.

Any opinions and ideas are welcome, thanks!

I would say that the Patron that lines up the most with the concept mechanically is Mew with her Minor Gift - Motherly Compassion and Major Gift - Gentle Vibe, especially since Shadow Pokemon are known to be uncontrollably emotionally violent. Going with canon material however, Celebi is actually able to completely purify Shadow Pokemon, though in B&D Celebi's Patron Gifts don't reflect that at all, so maybe take it with a grain of salt.

I do highly suggest taking Channeler as another supernatural supplement for connecting with pokemon regardless of your Patron if you go that route, though it could possibly have some long term effects on your trainer due to continued exposure to violent and corrupted emotions (at your GM's discretion).

If you want to avoid giving your trainer too much supernatural power, or just want something simple to carry the concept further, Mentor is a nice and fluffy way to RP a growing bond making the pokemon stronger.

Finally, Cheerleader is a great supportive class that you may want to consider, since it's all about positive encouragement leading to your pokemon doing their best in battle.

In the case of Celebi, I think it's more of it reverting the mon to its prior form, before the Shadow process was applied to it, while maintaining its memories.
