Um, what the heck are you talking about? It combos perfectly with a Pack Hunt Hunter. You can damage an enemy and send out a Pokemon and have it immediately attack with Pack Hunt, and I have a GM who can tell you how well this combo kills opponents by death of a thousand cuts. |

My votes would be on the following Dragon Type Ace: All of its features are incredibly situational, and borderline unusable. I think the reasoning is that dragon typed pokemon are already powerful, but this class is not worth taking over a persistently useful class. Enduring soul: It doesn't do its job well. A couple features are useful but a majority of them are very weak and unimpactful to the point that they are taxes to get the two good features. Choreographer: This class is weak due to the dependence of frequent contests, and it doesn't do enough out side of those events to warrant taking. Style expert: Same reason as above, but with even weaker out of contest effects. |

Oh, we nixed pack hunt in our games about three minutes after one of the players did the math on wearing six level 5 Rattata and taking out Arceus several times over in one turn with them. I'm pretty sure that's Pack Hunt being a frankly broken ability, not Capture Specialist being good. It's one of only two things I've had to change about the game to render it playable (the other is the combo of Grapple and Trip), which is actually fairly good as far as that's concerned. Even published pay-actual-cash-for-this games tend to have way more game-shattering combos to iron out. Or as was put so pithily to me just now: "It's really good with the Win Button!" That's not Pack Hunt being broken, that's one player doing a white mat calculation and the group assuming that's how it shakes out in play. News flash: That doesn't happen. Ever. If anything, Pack Hunt is on the weak side, as it requires a full-contact battle, double/triple battle, or free-for-all in order to actually get use out of. Even in a cooperative game, most trainer matches aren't likely any of those. And it's an AC 5, physical attack, which means yes, one of two evasions can apply, and you can't use Accuracy Training on it. So it's very likely you'll whiff half the time. |

Math is nice, but Pun Pun was never in a real game for a reason. |

This isn't as powerful as you would think. A Shift Action the action required to Shift (p227). That Action can be scarified to do other things, such as recover from being tripped. Grapple prevents Shift Actions (movement) but doesn't say they can't sacrifice that action to perform some other action. I had misread this before as well when stacking grapple + paralyze. Now Grapple+Paralyze+Trip would be utterly devastating. And Back on Topic. As for worst classes, Enduring Soul as many have said. Reasons Ultimately, Enduring Souls problem is that it let's you languish in a battle without having the tools to turn it around. More HP potential gives you more time to stall out your opponent (Enduring Soul, Vim and Vigor), negating major attacks keeps you fighting longer (Resilience). Now just turn that disadvantage around instead of sinking actions into barely recovering from your opponents attacks (Staying Power, Shrug Off, Awareness, Not Yet!)Dragon Ace is also bad, especially compared to other type aces. Simply put it's specific Features all are too situational with the exception of Tyrant's Roar. |

That's technically not true. Standing up takes a Shift Action and, while Grappled you "Cannot take Shift Actions." Strictly RAW, it's pretty cut and dry that you can't stop being Tripped while in a Grapple. It's not that you lose your Shift Action, it's that you can't take them. |

Yep. At our table we spackled it over by just adding a special "Get off of me" rule, where a tripped+grappled target can take the usual grappling Full Action to attempt an Athletics/Combat check to end the grapple. Edited by tulpacat, Jan 11 2017, 01:05 PM.

I will continue to disagree because that seems to be against the spirit of the ending of the clause that they cannot take actions to shift, as well as being completely broken as has been pointed out above. I've filled a FAQ about it here and on the discord. Maybe a dev can resolve this one way or another. |

Go ahead, but RAW that's how the interaction works. The clause at the end is to include any Movement from other actions they could take, such as from Spinning Dance, Celebrate, ect., not to limit the definition of a Swift Action. If you want it to not be broken, just Houserule that either you can't be Tripped while Grappled or let them use their Standard to stand up while Grappled. Both of them are perfectly fine fixes to the particular problem that I've seen commonly ruled when this comes up. Edited by Arcran, Jan 11 2017, 01:43 PM.
