I have nothing to show but I do have a question for those making homebrew mons. When a pokemon evolves, how much do you increase the level for them to learn a move? I tend to base my decision on the Dex PDF when it comes to making homebrew stuff but I can see no pattern among them. Do you follow a pattern of some kind(+2-4 levels) or would you say it depends on the pokemon itself? |

For levelup, the pattern in the games is to increase the level of each move beyond the level of evolution by one, and the number of levels between each move beyond evolution level by one. So a Basic 'mon with 4 levels between each move after the first, that evolves at 15 as the example. The Stage One evolution would learn the move that the Basic form learns at 16, at level 17 instead, and its next move at 22. If it then evolves again at 30 (as in the case of starters), the move it would learn at 32 is learned at 33 by the Stage Two evolution, who then learns its next move at 39. Evolutions that require stones or other items don't change the levelup rate. |
