Well? Did anyone manage to get a hold of Pokemon: Uranium before it was taken down? For the unenlightened, Pokemon: Uranium was a Pokemon fan game that had been worked on by one guy for nine years. It features a new region, new Pokemon (with old returning ones like Dunsparce and Magikarp), and a much more detailed story than the mundane "I wanna be the very best!" thing. I won't say anything here about it. Best of all, it played and looked like an actual Pokemon game. Unfortunately, the game was taken down a little while after being released when Nintendo started considering taking legal action. I managed to download the game before it was removed, and I'm really liking it. As someone who's only played the older games, most 2nd generation, it's fun to see how much the games have changed. Anyone have any thoughts? |

I did get a hold of a copy but I was not really impressed with the Pokemon designs there were a few good ones but overall they just didn't do anything for me. I still haven't finished the game but from what I've seen in lets plays the story seems really predictable. I'm not sure I understand why this game is as popular as it is. That's just me though. |

Only the official downloads were taken down, there's still plenty of other sites offering them (with various degrees of safety). Furthermore, the makers still offer support and keep updating the game. It's pretty silly in how Nuclear Pokémon are hyped up to be super dangerous but turn out to be little more than just Free EXP. |
