I am having full-on writer's block here, and hopefully maybe you guys can help me out with some ideas...

This is the Acaria Region

Posted Image

It is loosely based off of Africa, and it sports rolling plains, thick rain forests, huge mountains, an expansive desert, and empty wastelands.

Red= There is a Gym in the City
Blue= No gym
Gold= Pokemon League

I tried a weather theme...because this region is known for it's drastic weather patterns...but I only came up with 5 names. Any ideas are greatly Appreciated.

Well, here's a bump for your topic at least; I think you got lost in the sea of spam. I know for the region for my league game, I used musical terms for locations. They're mostly Italian, so my players never caught on. Perhaps a similar theme would work here?

What I did for my cities was I picked a few words that correlated to the culture or relevance of the city than ran them through google translate, and picked a Language very different from english. If it was too long I abbreviated. If the translation had multiple words I made a Portmanteau.

If you're going for the weather theme, that gives a bunch of names right off the bat. Look up weather terminology. Some fun ones I found were "Cirrus", "Stratus" (both types of clouds), and "Sirocco" (hot wind). As the region is loosely based on Africa, you could name some towns after Swahili words. Some good ones are "Anga" (sky) or "Radi" (lightning). Hope this helps!
