...I don't like Litten, I have never liked Litten, and any evidence to the contrary is slander.

Now pardon me whilst I decide which of the two inferior starter types I dislike less. :'(

Played the demo, took only about fifteen minutes to complete. They made sure your pokemon are higher level than anything else so you just breeze through it. Everything in it provides a quick glance at what is to come, and it is cool to be able to transfer the special Greninja to the real game when it comes out.

That aside, has anyone seen the Sun/Moon pokedex leaks? You get to see the new Alolan Pokemon, Alolan formes, and Ultra Beasts. We are going to encounter a total of eight Ultra Beasts and there may be the possibility of being able to catch them. Some evolutions of Alolan Pokemon that we already know about look really cool; Wimpod's being the coolest, now becoming a hulking brute of a isopod. Crabrawler evolves into a larger crab covered in a coat of white fur. I actually know that this is inspired by the Yeti crab, which just sells it for me.

Regarding the other Alolan formes, I am somewhat disappointed with what we're getting. Personally, I was wanting Alolan formes to extend to more than just Gen 1 Pokemon, but alas, that isn't the case. Pikachu is now wearing one of a variety of Ash's hats, not bad, but seems a bit lazy. I don't know what typing Dugtrio becomes, but all it gets appearance-wise is flowing, golden hair on all it heads (and now I have a mental image of the Three Stoges whenever I see it). Alolan Golem looks like it has chunks of obsidian growing off its body, which would be cool, but it is just arranged in a way that makes it look like a beard and a large mound on its back. Alolan Persian: just why? Seriously, it is a blue Persian with a swollen face that makes it look like Garfield. Alolan Meowth is perfectly fine looking like a more snooty cat, but Persian simply looks dopey.

A friend said that Persian looked like a mix of Garfield and Nermal.

Anyone disappointed by Alolan forms being restricted to G1 mons has only himself to blame.

Likely the same can be said of Litten's evolution.

I'm still holding onto hope that Nintendo is gonna pull a switch and announce a secondary evolution line for the starters.

Good luck with that. Unless there's going to be a patch on Day 1, we already know everything. Alola has no Fire-type starter.

Has anyone seen the data mine on Sun and Moon? We get the typings, abilities, moves, and stats on all pokemon. While this does provide enough information to start some converting to PTx, I am actually finding more interested in the buffs and nerfs that are going on.

Some less used Pokemon such as Qwilfish, Farfetch'd, and Chimecho are getting between +10 to +30 increases to their base stats (missed Masquerain, which gets a whopping +40 to its BST). Others have their abilities swapped out, such as Torkoal getting Drought and Gigalith getting Sand Stream (all the afected abilities are related by weather), while the Cubchoo line gets a new ability called Slush Rush (I think a Sand Rush for Hail).

The nerfs that I know about are for Gengar, Raikou, Entei, and Suicune. Gengar gets Cursed Body instead of Levitate, makes sense since it isn't floating like Gastly and Haunter. The Hidden Abilities for the Legendary Beasts are no longer the same ability as their Eeveelution counterparts and they all instead get Inner Focus, which is somewhat disappointing.

edit.:Some Moves are also getting some changes, like Leech Life becoming 80 Power instead of a measly 20. I also saw that all Z-moves have a Power that is determined by the move that is used with it. For example; Tackle causes The Normal Z-move to have a Power of 100 while Take Down makes it 175. Then there's Pikachu's unique Z-move, Catastropika, which has a Power of 210!
