I couldn't find a good section in the Rules but; About How fast should I let people catch and raise pokemon? Should I just let them have a small team or let them go all "Catch all the things" like you can in the games? |

The experience rules are by default set up for "catch all the things" but that is completely up to your preference - if you don't give dex EXP, players MIGHT not try to catch everything, depending on their own personalities and how much money you give them for pokeballs (though as the book says, you should probably still use it for a Capture Specialist). It's generally not how fast you "let" them catch pokemon - if players see a wild pokemon, be ready for them to throw a pokeball at them, and have backups or a good explanation ready as to why they can't be caught, just in case they roll well and catch the boss on the first turn. |
